Optimum times for startup and bonus promotions

Update: I changed my time from 1.50/4 min. to 1.50/3 min. and the only thing I have noticed is more money being deposited to wash. I think we as operators are the ones that are hung up on the price more than our customers are. Just thought I would let you know that if you are thinking about a price increase, there is no time like the present.

when we first took over our car wash it wash $3 for 4 mins and a .25 cents for 30 seconds bonus time it had been that way for years..... after we upgraded the equipment and put credit card acceptance in we get

cash: $4 for 4 mins and .25 cents for 30 seconds bonus time

Credit card: $4 for 5 mins 20seconds and pay .25 cents for 30 seconds after that but you can pay by the second.

our average credit card sale in the s.s. bays is $9.34

never had a complaint about the price going up people just have seem to expect it, we also have the benefit of the next closest wash is 30-40 mins away
