Possibly entering into the world of Tunnel car washing. The facility currently does not have a pay station. The conveyer is fired manually or loaded through an existing DRB system.

I need to build my club base and make it seemless to the customer while being easy to manage.. low monthly cost yet very customercentric. Looming at washify and dencar..are there any other highly recomended suggestions from personal choice experiences?

I understand how important it is to get this right.

As I understand it, you'll need to get your paystation from DRB if you want it to mesh with an existing DRB system. Do you know what DRB system they are running?

That is a great answer to the question - as I do hate to be locked in - but it would be a huge expense to move away from that I am taking it - I didnt know if OTHER paystations might mesh like for instance Dencar - as I have been hearing some great things about that product.

You have two systems in a tunnel wash. The tunnel controller and the point of sale. If you want to connect a paystation like Dencar to a Drb tunnel controller, that can be done. If you want to connect a Dencar pay station to DRB point of sale, that won't work.
DRB TunnelWatch - tunnel controller
DRB CarWatch, Sitewatch and Patheon are point of sale systems

Thank you for this detail - any suggestions on pay stations- as I know this is one of the most critical customer front facing pieces - I need to get this right. LPR and Clubs are a must

Do not go with Washify. Thank me later.

We had plans on using their X Station but as time went on (trying to get a variety of things to transpire on our project) we found more and more from others that they were terrible to deal with. They also would ghost us on any questions we had about the system. The sales guy would get back to us right away though...... 😂

Where in PA are you located? I am in central PA.

I have Dencar at my inbays, not at my tunnel yet but probably heading that direction. I think Dencar has a good product and could be a good fit for a tunnel.

Sonny's makes a retrofit system for DRB tunnels to use their pay stations. No experience with it but is an option.

Interesting - I knew they could re-purpose some of DRB's hardware, but I didn't know they could get their pay stations to talk to a DRB system.

I've been researching pay stations, and everything else for my build. After looking into it, I have it boiled down to Sonny's and Micrologic. DRB seems antiquated. I am not using Sonny's equipment, but am 99% sure I'm going with Sonny's POS, and 75% sure I'm going with their tunnel controller. They have a really nice suite of products to offer, and have dropped their prices to be VERY competitive! Sonny's also seems to focus on making all of their stuff compatible with other systems, although I do not know about your exact system. Good luck!

Has anyone had experience in using DENCAR as a Tunnel Pay station - thoughts?
I have a tunnel running Dencar. Runs great and I’m a HUGE proponent of their product. Great great product supported by a great group of guys.

What specific questions do you have ?

i have been using washify for the last 4 years and one thing i have to say is that every paystation has their issues.

personally my down time has been very minimal and the lpr read rate hovers around 90%, but there's a washify community fb page where there's galore of people freaking out on a daily basis so i am not really sure what's going on over there.

every once in awhile they will have updates that will mess up your dashboard a bit, but eventually it gets fixed.

my only complaint is that they are not very innovative and are not interested in implementing new features.

nxt wash seems to be the new hot item everyone's talking about.

This is the reason we decided not to go with them. Out of 100 cars, 10 can't start the wash and that would be terrible for an unattended location.

totally understandable. we have a backup RFID reader which i got used for really cheap to take care of ones with read issues.
