Hello, I've had an ongoing problem with this that has never been able to be resolved.. We've had it for about 14 years.

On the wash that has just clear coat and spotfree, the clear coat starts priming when hi impact is at passenger rear corner of vehicle. So on the forward hi impact pass is also dumping from the halo... Clear coat valve opens at this same time.. such that when it gets to the front and finishes hi impact and changes the pass to clear coat the actual clear coat valve closes, and it switches to pumpung ro only.

As a result we run out of clear coat before it gets to the back of the car, trucks are even worse.

The slower we run the gantry the worse it is, I'm running at 4 right now on hi, the wash isn't great at 6. If I run 7 the priming is probably accurate.

Clear coat is at 5 running this at 7 would probably ly be accurate.

Ryko has never had an answer for this.. We are trying to get the best wash possible.

It seems it may be set on high speed wash or something but I don't know where to change it if so. D851 and 852 seem to have no impact on the timing.

If it matters the cc was Installed to the wax output originally.

All other washes it runs accurately. Its only when clear coat is directly following hi impact that the early prime and shutoff happen.

Any ideas?

Can you tell me what program and revision you are running in the OHD? It should be a number like 23953-00X or 26234-00X with a letter revision after it.

If you have the serial number of the machine and the output you are using for the Clearcoat, that will help me to answer your questions.

On my ryko OHDs there are timers that can be adjusted to prime various functions during the wash cycle. I seem to get good coverage on all functions.

Hi Darin, that would be great.

23953-006 rev.M

Serial # : 150403

Clear coat is wired to y45 (wax)
not sure why it wasn't wired to y12 (cc)

Its also primes the spot free rinse early on my lowest wash. 2 step/ Wash/ spot free only.

The other two wash options I have time and prime fine; with rainshield or trifoam following the wash pass.

Yes, but I have no timers shown on my list, that can control the clearcoat/wax, and spotfree prime times or delays.

I have all the others Including after blow out and surface sealant prime time. :)

I'm hoping my values list is incomplete and there are timers I just don't have the registers.

This machine was originally ordered with the wax option rather than the clearcoat option which explains why it's wired that way. There isn't an adjustable timer that I can see for the prime time on the wax function, but there may be a data register that I could change that may help. If you can send me a PM with your email, I'll get you a complete setups and timers doc for your program, then can work through it.

RykoPro is our Service Manager for the Michigan and Ohio territories and I'm working with him all the time. He probably just doesn't have as much time as he used to on the forums.

I find it illuminating that Mrfixit said Ryko had never been able to come up with an answer. That is until he asked the question on this site.

No we don't have a web site.. Were a fairly small town with little competition. The site name is Nancy's sparkle wash. Named after my mom, its one of our family business's. Along with auto repair shop and storage facilities.

I used to run the carwash, but left 5 years ago.. Now I'm back around to help keep things running and make improvements to reduce down time and get it profitable again.

I do all the repairs and maintenance to all of our equipment.

Your right.. I'm working with Darin to see if they can change the logic... Yay!

I have notes going back to 2008 when I was trying to get answers. Just asked our tech last time he was here delivering chemicals too... Its got to prime the line he said.. But my last pass is always ro so why do I need to prime ro from the line to run ro... Plus it doesn't take that long to prime the lines.

I think its always been this way.. Some may not care or notice. But I do and it bothers me. :)

Oop gotta got go the auto is down..
