Good point on the strainer, I'll see what I can do. With 11 bays total, I'm sure a blow down system would pay for itself in no time. Any issues whatsoever with your system after you tweaked it?

Does it matter what direction the water flows?
I just looked at one, and the female end would be the inlet if you have the needle acting properly as a stopper. I've tried them both ways and can't tell any difference.So which way would flow enter on these? The male threaded side, or the female side? I would need the flow to enter the female side. KR told me direction doesn't matter, but I'll change the order to F*F if I need to before they ship today.
