You don't need to backflush a carbon filter based on a gallon usage.
So therefore operators are setting their autobackflush for their activated carbon filter at about how many days???

7 days for me. The highest I can go on my timer. I have a pretty big carbon filter. The manual doesn't have suggestions based on usage. I test my water occasionally. ...It's always between 0 and 5 tds......very low. Not that the carbon filter has anything to do with that...

My recommendation of 6 days was for the unit mjwalsh linked that has a 12-day timer.
