trying to fire unit up, it requires 24v a/c correct? I have no response from reader... I'm assuming that I've blown a fuse in it or smoked the internals. I used the 2 reds together to 24v and the 2 black went to neutral. nothing. I see xpc corp is selling a kit for the nayax reader that includes a 24vac to 12dc converter and a stop button.

VPOS Touch works on 24 V AC or DC.

Once powered up, observe the LEDs on the motherboard (behind the clear cover)
One LED should be illuminated.

Then, call Nayax...They will activate the reader remotely.

I recommend staying on hold until tech service answers.
It might take an hour or so of listening to the repeating message and "music" but someone will finally pick up the call.
Tip: Don't call after 4PM EDT...

Got ahold of nayax they are telling me that the voltage probably fried reader. They say that it can take a maximum of 24 volt. They say actually that it can run on 12 volt and sugested a relay to protect device from any voltage spike. My bench 24 volt converter is putting out 29 volt. The tech says thats enough to kill it.

Bummer end result, Scott. These electrical puzzles can be challenging sometimes. We work a lot with the Nayax VPOS touch and have experience with AC/DC converter/bridges too. Let us know if you have questions in the future. Regards.

The xcp stuff is news to me...so, no.

I believe Ginsan recommends an auxillary stop button but I've never seen that either.
