Thoughts on this compressor

5 HP Quiet Air Compressor, 3 Phase, 2 Stage, 80 Gallon Tank, Vertical

Eaton Compressor carries an impressive line of quiet air compressors, including this 3 phase 5 HP Quiet Air Compressor with 80 Gallon Tank.

It's going in a single bay Petit, & should be a 50 --70cpd site. I would not be shocked if it got up around 80+ & had to add a 2nd Petit.
Would this be plenty for 2 Petits? Or just 1, or is there a better choice for the money?

That is the same company (Eaton Compressor) as the one in Sooner's post and made here in Clayton. I don't know if they are the best but they are pretty quiet and appear very well built. We are planning on buying one soon.

That’s plenty for 2 petit. They don’t use a lot of air.

I seem to remember that 2 stage compressors are much quieter than single stage? Could be mis-remembering. Typically 2 stage are used to obtain higher pressures, which we don't need for car washes, but I believe they are quieter. Might be worth checking into

2-stage also deliver more air volume, especially at higher PSIs.

The above compressors are both two stage.

Petit specs call for 6 SCFM @100psi /unit

I wouldn’t worry about a second Petit until you’re consistently washing 100+ a day.
