Ww2.0 peesoak started but stopped after a feet

Hello our ww2.0 started the presoak and then stopped after a foot and asked customer to leave. Tried to move the machine manually from the panel on the machine, it was going reverse but not forward. Noticed the prox sensor that senses the beginning of the track is stayed on although it was in the beginning of the track(no metal in front of it). So open ed it and cleaned it with electrical contact cleaner and it worked. Do you recommend to use dielectric grease on the pins before connecting the prox sensor to its cable? Wouldnt that makes it worse as dielectric grease is for insulation and its not conductive. Maybe use the grease where the nut (to hook up cable to the prox sensor) is just to prevent water from getting to the pin area? Thanks

thanks cebo..it happened again ,the prox was on... so I changed the prox to another one I had in the shop although its not the same model (from 0620B to 1041B; although Coleman says they should be all the same prox sensor model but it seem like previous owners changed them) ...do we know which model is the right model? Also how do you know its the prox sensor that is faulty not the cable? Thanks

Could be a prox switch thing or cable. If a replacement prox does not fix it the cable is the next thing to try.

A lot of us use other brands of proximity switches. I use some prox switches and cables from automation direct- about $20 each

Don't use too much dieletric grease- a pea sized amount is plenty.

Oh wow only $20 for pros sensor...that’s awesome
I took the faulty sensor to Turck representatives today here in Calgary and they confirmed the sensor is faulty... that’s why it stays on and sends a signal that the machine is at the home position which makes the machine to not go forward. They also explained that there are really 2 types: NPN and PNP. The ones with AN on them is NPN and the ones with AP on them is PNP. You can not swap these. You can only replace a PNP with a PNP and vice versa.
