I've had a Petit since 2015 and it's still very reliable
As a 10 year old machine should be. That on par with most manufacturers. It would be a shame if it wasn't. Like I stated in my post there is nothing special about them. They have parts that wear and tear just like any other machine. A machine doesn't just last because it does. It's all about the maintenance and TLC.

I would consider a machine with over 200k washes on it a machine that has throughly been put through its paces.

I don't have a bad thing to say about any machines that I haven't used. I only have bad things to say about the ones I have used and don't like. Like the Laser G5.

They way parts are engineered to wear and tear is what sets one machine apart from another. I have seen 2yo machines (from multiple manufacturers) that were properly taken care of still have many problem's because of bad engineering, bad design, and cheap parts.

I would love to have a spreadsheet of all IBA's looking at failure rate per 10k washes over 10 years. This would would be the true test...
