    Blackjack Vending

I loaded up on them just before price increase--15 boxes. KR went to $72, and Sonny's still had them for $48 at the time, so I scooped them up before they got the memo. I plan to drop it when that is depleted, unless price comes down. It is a good product, but one crappy little sponge can not...

    Lazy rednecks?

Yes, the World is full of idiots. I stopped fighting it a long time ago because there are more of them then of us.

Customer says we scratched her hood

Does not look like mitter scratches to me. Looks like someone was scrapping snow off the hood with a snow shovel. In the unlikley event there was something on the mitter, it would be on the whole car. Plus I do not believe mitters would make that circular impression. request: DENIED. Tell...

    Adjusted Sewer Rates

We had to pay for the sewer meter--it was expensive. It was about $3000 installed back in 2005. It has paid for itself, though. I think there are much cheaper ultrasonic meters now.

    Adjusted Sewer Rates

Yes- Seaford, DE. I actually meter the sewer discharge, and only pay for what I am actually sending. My water rate is $2.52/1000gal, and sewer is $5.00/1000gal. Sewer usage is less than water by 12-15% typically.

    Water Wizard Triple Shine

In the foam module on top of the machine. Take hose off at intake, then turn it on to see if liquid is there. I removed all three of my foamers because they were clogged. Product still foams fine without the foamer module. It is a gray piece of pvc pipe about a foot or so long. There are three...

Can my floor heat do better?

I can not answer your question, but I have similar issues. I do not think the desginers take into account that outside aprons/pads need a closer loop field and shorter runs from the manifolds to maintain a proper de-icing. I think in my case, I definitely need a larger heater, because it never...

    American Changer AC8001 Display Lighting

No, the displays are not adjustable and not repairable unfortunatley. KR has the part for $963. (it was $762 last year--inflation I guess). I have 7 machines, so I keep one on the shelf.

What company makes vacs that use a 5gallon bucket instead of the goldrush style pan

It is Doyle Vacuum Systems, LLC. www.doylevacuum.com I ordered four at the show. They have 2 shop vac type pleated filters instead of filter bags, then the dirt falls dow into a 5 gal bucket for easy removal.

    Wall cleaner and signs?

RENEW equipment cleaner from C.A.R. products works well. We spray on with pump up sprayer, brush it around using an old foam brush, let it dwell 5 minutes, then rinse off with hot water. It does the trick no matter how dirty the walls are.

Replace Jim Coleman keypad with Rotary Knob?

Yea, I got rid of all those and went to rotary. Push button electronics in a car wash bay really does not seem like a good idea to me. I got rid of the GinSan units too.

Has anyone adapted this to their car wash yet? I want to add credit card acceptance to exisitng Hamilton DRS machines. I have explored ePort (thanks to Randy) and NAYAX (also thanks to Randy), but I just saw an ad for the PayRange in PC&D magazine. I want to make the best decision the first...
