I use the thermal relief valves. Mostly because I have some CAT 623 pumps. When someone leaves that running without the trigger pulled, it heats up really quick. Within 60 seconds or so, it typically starts blowing out to bring in lower temp water. Both hot & cold are gravity fed.

All my locations are drilled with the plastic rivits. The holes are 1/16" larger than the rivet, to allow for movement with the varying temperatures and moisture. I would think if you glued them, they may buckle with the extreme temp swings. Oldest location is 22 years, and I have never had to...

I had this same issue at one of my locations using slugbusters. Ended up using the slugbuster to trigger an ice cube relay, which inturn made dry contact pulses to the timer. This solved my problem. (not sure about your pulse button) I have the same timers and acceptors at other locations...

Using B-38 belts. They slip on and off just fine.

Remove the belt, then pull the pump forward a bit. Tighten bolts, then spin belt back on. (Be sure breaker is off before you do this, though. Do not want you to lose a finger) I never loosen bolts when putting belts on. You just spin old one(s) off, and spin new one on.
