    Electroswitch rotary trouble

That switch came from an inside bay, next to the ER. The coin boxes are mounted in the center of the bay. In the beginning, I was lucky to get a year out of the switches until I found the hex seals.

    Electroswitch rotary trouble

I think I got "All of It" out of this one! Just changed it a week or so ago, and it still worked. But was getting a little stiff! I've been using the hex seal for years....I didn't pay $16 for a seal! WOW....

    Foam brush heads

Reviving an old thread. Just bought 8 more of the "Nogs Hair" brushes since I had very good luck with the first ones I bought. Only issue I had with the original ones, when tapping out to 3/4" pipe threads, 2 of the heads cracked when inserting the 1/2" to 3/4" brass adapter. I guess going to...

    Water Pressure

A 2" main should flow almost 300 gallons a minute at 60 psi....Can't imagine you could use that much flow so something else is causing the issue. ....Don't rule out restriction caused by galvanic corrosion. I've seen it at my wash with a 2" main...The pipe was almost closed off at the meter...

    Weep mizer not weeping

You might consider putting a simple light switch between the weepmizer and solenoid. Makes trouble shooting and testing a lot easier.

    Winter is coming... floor heat.

I also have the black plastic pipe. Installed about 40 years ago, estimated. Here in Southern Ohio we used this tubing for housing water supply from the meter to the basement or crawl space...It was all that was approved and available back then. Pex wasn't introduced in the states until mid...

running 3 bays on 3/4" water service

Do you have any Cast Iron connected to Copper or Brass in your main water supply? I replaced my 2" meter with a 1" meter to save on minimum water charges...Years ago my wash had an auto in one of the bays which probably needed the 2" main. I was paying based on 33,000 gallons minimum with the 2"...

    Water heater recommendations

Good point on the internal added heat exchanger. Mine has that too, but struggled with running glycol through it. So I have a Takagi Demand that handles the floor heat with ease!

    Water heater recommendations

The best price I could find when I purchased mine was from Bostonheatingsupply.com. They have gone up in price since 2014, but what hasn't!

    Water heater recommendations

I'll have to disagree with some of the statements here...Not ALL HE tank style heaters are the same...Some of the HE designs use "Lined Steel" tanks and can corrode/rust over time. The HTP is an HE design that uses an all stainless steel tank and SS heat chamber. It is designed to condense and...

    Push-in connector replacement

Those pictured can be Stainless Steel too? Kinda looks like 3/8 tubing to me? If so, 10mm metric is .394" v/s .375. So just enough to allow it to leak easily. Maybe the OP can tell us what size tubing is being used and verify the tubing matches the connector? But if someone else did the...

    Push-in connector replacement

Just trying to figure out why the original poster is having trouble with these connectors? The only thing I can think of is the connectors are for metric tubing and they used SAE tubing? The metric connectors we have where I work has a blue release ring like the ones posted?

    High Pressure soap getting Diluted

If you have siphon breaks and if you have a failing foot valve, you should see air or no soap in the feed hose to the hydrominder. If the hose is discolored to where you can't see through it, I suggest you change it out and test the FV in the process. These poly hoses get hard over time and...

    High Pressure soap getting Diluted

I'll ask again since you might have missed my post.... Hydrominders are not shipped with a syphon break in the hose from the hydrominder that fills the soap tank. Without the syphon break, if the foot valve fails, it allows mixed soap from your tank to syphon back into the bucket of soap. It...

    High Pressure soap getting Diluted

Do you have a siphon break in the hose from the hydrominder that feeds your tank? If not, you could have a failing foot valve causing the problem.

    Tankless, Instantaneous, Water Heaters

I installed the Phoenix PH199-55 back in 2014. It was less than $4k shipped. Price now without shipping is $5479. Pretty hefty increase in 7 years. But it's a great water heater. Never had an issue with it or never ran out of Hot Water!

    which float valve is better?

Do you have a link to the cheap Walter's float valve on Zori. Can't seem to find it. One thing to keep in mind is the Walter's is a two stage valve which eliminates water hammer. I've tried several designs and the Walters have been the best. Like Mep said, when they start to fail, they don't...
