    Watts 009 backflow

The Wilkins is the one I bought to replace my old watts. Just need time to replace it. The old guy who does our test recommended the Wilkins too.

You are only making 1/4 or less than what you should for that much usage. Something is not right!

    Presoak on triple foam gun

Correction to post above. My water/sewage is $20 per 1000 gallons. So it would cost me about $40 a day just for FB and PS/TF hoses below 15 degrees.

    Presoak on triple foam gun

I set my weep on the HP wands at 16oz flow per minute per bay. Never have a freeze up. You can do that as long as you have seperate needle valves for each bay. The link I posted above has all the info you need to learn about what it takes to install a blowdown/washer fluid system, which I only...

    Weep water check valve question

To the original poster and others....IMHO and from a technical standpoint, a CV IS needed for two reasons....To keep weep from back feeding to the gravity tanks AND to keep wands from dripping water when not in use...The back feeding to the gravity tansk is pretty much common sense, but a...

    Weep water check valve question

OK, I'll bite again! You ever seen an engineer use a component in an invention that was totally designed for a different purpose? These unloaders are no different. Just becasue they were designed for a specific purpose, DOES NOT mean they can't be used in a different way to get the results you...

    Weep water check valve question

I think you will find the cv also keeps water from siphoning out of the float tanks if you don't have a cv between the tank and pump. I have Giant regulators/unloaded that have a built in cv for both weep and siphoning.

    1/4 pressure hose

Something to note if you haven't thought of it...A .25" ID hose will lose 207 PSI on a 75' run. A 3/8" ID hose loses 30 PSI for the same 75' length. So, in order to get the proper PSI at the wand, your equipment/pumps will have to work harder with .25" ID hose... A handy calculator to have...

Solenoids for corrosive lo-ph triple foam? (And product suggestions?)

Correction, The trifoam I use is a "Trivalley" product who is my chemical distributor. The rest of the chemicals I use are Warsaw Products also delivered by Trivalley. The PH is not listed on the buckets of the Trifoam...

Solenoids for corrosive lo-ph triple foam? (And product suggestions?)

I use Warsaw 721 R, B, & Y...TF Polish. I've never had an issue with the 1/2" brass GC solenoids at the tanks or the brass kip manifold that directs chemical to the bays. Been installed over 10 years and haven't changed the first solenoid.

tapped stainless pipe to mount individual solenoids

I also found a Dema SS solenoid manifold like the Kip brass ones. But from looking at the pictures, it appears it has brass bodied solenoids. It is $237.

tapped stainless pipe to mount individual solenoids

I wouldn't trust it. Plus it has garden hose threads. I'm not 100% sold yet on the SS manifold until I see how it's made!

HD's around here don't have any in stock and they don't ship them for whatever reason? Good find though! Ended up getting one off Ebay for $25

tapped stainless pipe to mount individual solenoids

Saw that too. It's a typo. And also the 5psi max. These are designed for NG or propane. Surely they will hold more than that?

tapped stainless pipe to mount individual solenoids

Good find Earl! I was thinking, you really don't need that much room between solenoids. You can take the coil and stem off and screw the base on, then reattach the stem and coil. For no more than this cost, I will give it a try. Just need (4) 1/2" x 1/4" NPT SS reducers. Thx!

tapped stainless pipe to mount individual solenoids

Thanks Randy for the links! I don't think the one from McMaster will work...It would be impossible to fit solenoids to it. The hole spacing is too close together. I would pay extra for a SS one identical to the brass ones we get off KR...It would last forever! I would like for it to fit the...

tapped stainless pipe to mount individual solenoids

Does anybody sell Kip SS manifolds? I know they make them... The brass ones only last about 4 years on PS before the seats erode and start leaking.
