    High Pressure Floats

Thanks for checking on that! Much appreciated! Looks like some age on that valve?!

    Low Pressure Cat 310

I've never seen a pump plumbed where the weep had to flow through the head to get to the HP hose! And I doubt I would use a Swing CV on the inlet water supplies to keep weep from backfeeding the gravity tanks...If you are in a cold climate and your tanks overflow in the winter, the swing cv's...

    High Pressure Floats

Thx! And sorry the OP's thread is sort of highjacked. But there is usefull information in our posts that helps decide what is a good alternative to the Hudson. I have never saw a post where anyone likes them for the same reasons of catestrophic failure or failure to fill.

    High Pressure Floats

I get a little bit of sand in the bottom of my float tanks, but don't remember it being bad enough to ever clean out. I've had my new tanks installed for about 10 years. I have mushroom screen filters in the bottom of my tanks for each bay, so I'm sure this helps keep any sand out of the HP...

    High Pressure Floats

I've used Walters for years and just replaced one this week in my heated gravity tank. I really don't know how many years it was installed but it was more than 2-3 years....When they fail, they just drip and over-flow the tank over night. Never catestrophic. They do give you a lot of warning...

    Leaking hydrominder tanks

Yes they are tiny, about a gallon or a little more. I didn't have much room, so they were a perfect fit. I have the hydrominder floats attached with no chain, so they only fill about half way. I've never had an issue running out of chemical on any of the 4 tanks with my 4 bay. Soap and wax flow...

    Leaking hydrominder tanks

Why go down the rabbit hole further? It's not that expensive to do it right and use SS tanks. KR sells these mix tanks. Although, when I bought these about 10 years ago, they were $70 each! Self-Serve Low Pressure Tank | Low Pressure System | Air Logic (kleen-ritecorp.com)

    RO/ Softener issue

True about bridging, but I've also seen issues when the brine tank would not refill with water. How would you know when the brine tank is full of salt? I guess you could pop off the cap on the brine tube to see how much water was in the tube? For me, I like to pop the lid off the tank and make...

Mortons Clean and Protect Softener Salt

For now I decided to switch to Diamond Crystal Pellets...I picked up 10 bags from our local Tractor Supply Company for $4.99 a bag. It is snow white like the Mortons used to be...I can't see risking issues with the softener just because a Mortons rep said it "Shouldn't" cause any issues! Plus...

    RO/ Softener issue

You are a little "Wishy Washie"! Copied from a thread I started on the Mortons Clean and Protect issue...To add, I worked for a manufacturing company that had a 2cu-ft twin fleck system (just like the one I have at the wash) that made RO water to mix with the cutting fluid we used. It regined...

    Dema solenoid rebuild

Dema 412 and 414 are piston actuated valves. When I bought my wash, it had a 414p on weep. It tested fine until the first freeze! It quickly made me do the research to learn they are not as trustworthy as a diaphram valve. I switched to an Asco diaphram valve and have never had a freeze up...

Mortons Clean and Protect Softener Salt

To follow up with this thread, I recieved an email and phone response to my inquiry. Here is the email version which reflects about the same information as I got with the phone conversation: Thank you for contacting Morton Salt. We are sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with the Morton® Clean...

    Distance for Foam Generators

The foam generators don't have to be very big. I originally had huge PVC FB generators in the ER and 3/4" hose going out to the bays. Furthest bay is 3 over from the ER. It was a terrible design. I redid it using push connect tubing and put foam generators above each bay. Used 3/4" brass pipe...

Mortons Clean and Protect Softener Salt

Mortons responded...They wanted photos. But could not find the Lot # printed on the bags. This was my response: Thanks for the response. See attached photos. I took pictures of the bottom of the bag (front and back) and there is no Lot Number printed that I can see or on any part of the bag. I...

What brand Triple Foam setup is this?

I have the Dultmeier TF system. The previous owner purchased it but never installed it. He purchased the 3 bay system for a 4 bay...Never quite figured this one out...None-the-less, I installed it and converted it for the 4 bays...Only other modification was to put above tank hydrominders...

Mortons Clean and Protect Softener Salt

I submitted an online case ticket here: FAQ / Contact Us - Morton Salt I'll wait a few days to see if I get a response, if not I'll give them a call. I checked my brine tank today, and there is now this dirty scum floating on top of the water. I sifted it out using a very fine fish net...Its...

Mortons Clean and Protect Softener Salt

I was at Sams today and the pallet of Clean and Protect they had was the same brown color...They also had the Mortons in the green bag and the salt was brown color too...I'm guessing they have made changes, but still going to call them to see what's up.

Mortons Clean and Protect Softener Salt

I tried the Diamond brand solar salt and it leaves a scummy brown film on top of the water in the brine tank even though the crystals are white. I quickly got them out of the tank. I could only imagine what that scum would have done to the resin beds.
