    coin box thermostatically controlled heater

If I pull heat tape off of my coinbox, what can I use to re-attach them? Any special glue or tape?

    Cryptopay on Combo vac?

I have mine on 9 JC combo vacs and have them set at $2.50 per swipe. It sends 10 pulses to the timer, same as putting in 10 quarters. You can then select shampoo or vac and the timer adjusts accordingly. I set the button to do nothing per press as people were pushing it to stop the vacuum and...

    Cryptopay on Combo vac?

The Cryptopay reader in count down coin mode just sends pulses, so the timer will dictate what each function is charged. I have it that way on my shampoo/vacs and frag/vacs. Works great.

Advice on pumps, rebuilding pump stand-part 2

I'm pretty sure it is for the pre-soak and factory adjusted to run at 500psi. I have turned a couple of bays down to 300, but wasn't sure what I liked better.

    Spot free pump Question

My JC pump stand came with a sta-rite booster pump for the ss spot free and the new stand I just bought uses the same pump. I am not sure what the pressure is out to the bays, but I can check. I think I saw a sticker on the gauge that said "not to exceed 195 psi" but I need to confirm.

Advice on pumps, rebuilding pump stand-part 2

The SMC 555 has 2 versions. 50-500 psi and 200-2000 psi. Any idea which one I need? I think I'd likely run at 500 psi or slightly lower, but not sure if I'll ever go above 500. Don't know if I'll ever go below 200 either.

    Led-7 and Cryptopay

Glad to hear it's working. The blue wire is for a dedicated credit card input, the red wire is used for timers other than Dixmor or when count down is used.

    Led-7 and Cryptopay

"My question on the dixmor led-7 it said to short out pin 9 to pin 6." This was confusing to me at first as well. I called Dixmor and basically the Cryptopay swiper is doing this for you, so you just wire it normally and you don't have to short or jump any pins.

    Help choosing soft water system

24gpm was based on using soft water for everything. If I am only using it for RO and they chemicals, what gpm should I expect to be using max? Not sure how to figure that out. I know rinse is a huge part of the 3.5gpm per bay figure, so not sure how much of the 3.5 is because of the rinse...

    Help choosing soft water system

Here is a system I was quoted by Ginsan, base on only treating the RO and hydrominders.. Thoughts? Price 1: Commercial Softener: Water Lovers 1.25" metered twin alternating 45,000 grain water softening system. Mineral tank size: 10x54 (2). Capacity: Efficient: 30,000 grains....Peak: 45,000...

    Help choosing soft water system

Not sure there is much benefit other than less plumbing for me up front lol. They are on the other side of the ER from where the softener will be, so less work. My current setup has the FB, PS and Wax hydrominders using hot water. I was searching online yesterday and came across this...

    Help choosing soft water system

If that head is for the charcoal filter, then I'll just change the media in it and not need to buy one if the head works. Is it as simple as dumping it out and pouring in the new?

    Help choosing soft water system

I planned on running city cold to the rinse/weep manifold, then soft hot to the rinse tank (soap/pre-soak/wax) and then soft cold to the hydrominders. I was thinking about it and might just run soft/hot the hydrominders as well. They don't really use that much and with my HE water tank, I...

    Help choosing soft water system

So if the tank with the head is a chlorine tank, I won't need one I guess. Is there a way to check the material inside and see if it is any good, or needs replacing? Mep, what do you suggest I need regarding minimum flow rates and grains if I am only running the RO and chemicals with soft...

    Help choosing soft water system

No idea. We figured around 24gpm if I was doing the whole wash, but if I'm going to rinse with hard water, the soft water requirements are way less. Not sure how to calculate it for just the 2 RO membranes and then the hydrominder/rinse tanks.

    Help choosing soft water system

I do plan on making sure I have the right softener, just not sure if there is a difference between brands etc. There are plastic heads and brass heads, and the costs vary greatly.

    Help choosing soft water system

On another note, I might need a chlorine tank/filter as well. Here is what came with my setup, but it might be a soft water tank? Can you tell by looking at the picture? The larger tank has a head on it, the smaller one does not. Also, brass valves seem to cost a lot more than the plastic...

    Help choosing soft water system

I measured the hardness a while back and it was 19 grains. Two weeks ago it was 7. From what I was told, it varies, but that is usually the range. Since I would be only using soft water for RO and the hydrominder tanks, I would assume that I would need much less gpm. The rinse itself has to...

    Help choosing soft water system

I've been doing some research and 2 tanks are the way to go. I have decided to only use soft water for my RO and chemicals, so I'll run my rinse using hard water and won't need as big of a tank. Doug over at Ginsan has a good reasonably priced system, so I'll probably just go that route.

    Help choosing soft water system

"Twin alternating water softeners are used where there is a demand for continuous soft water without any down time. Perfect for business, heavy water use and light commercial applications." I saw that online, so I guess for a car wash I would need the double tank. Just not sure of what...
