What do you guys do about credit card chargebacks?

I have had this happen a couple of times. I get the exact date and time, and tell them I will get the video, and report to the police the info for a stolen c/c. In every case, customer suddenly remembers they were there using the service. Go figure??

No matter how hard you try.....

Just a thought here--you do not go into Burger King and order a hamburger, then expect to get a Whopper. If your basic wash does the same job as the higher priced wash, then you should only have one wash to sell. It defeats the purpose of having several pricing levels if the result is the same...

More carwash stupidity... You've heard of bucket washers, how about this:

WOW! Just when you think people can not get any dumber.

    danfoss vfd perimeters

Thanks everybody. I worked through all my issues with a danfoss tech. They were super helpful. I replaced all the old 176f units with 132F0010 units. All is good now. Just in time for more cold and snow.

    LW4000 hitting car

A little more info I discovered today. It is happening on small cars with little or no trunk. It did on a vw bug, and two small hatchbacks today.

    LW4000 hitting car

(different issue than mcallen) Having an intermittent issue with one of my Lasers. On the first p/s pass, once it starts up the passenger side, it will stop just before the middle flag and turn to go across (like it thinks it is at the front). Prox tests on/off ok. Of course it never happens...

Here we go again. More frigid weather in the NE.

Floor heat off, wash water heater off, weep off, lights off, lines blown out, guns/wands off the hose and in equipment room. Yea--we will call that closing it up. Hope to put them back together on Thursday. Funny, when I first got into the business (1992) you just let the weep run, leave the...

Does anyone have the complete perimeter listings for the old Danfoss 176F vfds? (for all three motors) Thanks.

    FloJet Question

Same as MEP. All my guys can change those out in a minute. With the air solenoid set up, they are generally very reliable. Once your set up is complete, that is a one time thing. That costs is still less than a procon pump/motor and controller.

    FloJet Question

I use an MX10 multiplexed control by IDX. When product solenoid is triggered, air solenoid to flojet turns on. When done product, air solenoid off. I also put in a slow bleed ball valve, so all pressure is relieved in about 30-45 seconds after air solenoid goes off. This set up has solved a...

    Cat pump oil

Why would you just not use CAT oil?? I buy the 2.5 gallon jugs from KR, and keep one at each location. I order it when they have a free ship special. It costs only $3.50 per change on the 5cp2120, $4.60 on the 310. I change every 7-10 months. Seems like a waste of time, just to try a save...

    Tokens vs dollar coin

I suppose you could be right. But two of my competitors went broke, and I bought their places for 30 cents on the dollar. Changed to $1 high security tokens on the first day of ownership, and never looked back. BTW, both of those stores are profitable with steady increases since purchase. Of...

    Tokens vs dollar coin

Why does this question come up every 6 months or so? You guys are in the car wash biz. Not the giving out change biz. $1 high security tokens are the absolute best option in your changers (in my opinion). A potential customer coming on to your site should only be there to spend money at your...

    Water Reclaim Systems

I have this same set up. You obviously have a bad check valve down in the tank, or you have a hairline crack in your plumbing. That system will never lose prime if installed properly. I clean mine every 5-7 depending on biz. Why would you shut it off in the Summer? You prefer not to save...
