    Pressure falls drastically on soap/wax

We use Dole Dual Inlet Valves on our pressure fed systems. Each side has a diaphragm exactly like the ones used in hydrominders. When they go bad it does exactly what you described...full pressure, then kind of a shudder and pressure drops to basically nothing. Ninety percent of the time the...

    HydraFlex Injectors not holding up

I have found that the Chemflex are not suited for Alkaline. You'll get decent life out of the for waxes and acids. We have mostly switched to Dema Rocket Injectors.

Best pressure reducing valve for the wash? My watts are crap.

Curious if you've inquired with the water department as to why their pressure is so high? What changed?

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

2Biz, How would you envision the plumbing, pumps and controls for a FH system for something larger than a 3 or 4 bay where you’re not going to get away with just one Takagi or whatever demand heater? Main loop going to and from the loops wouldn’t change….appropriate size pump running constantly...

    Questions about slab heat

2Biz, when you re-did your FH how did you flush all the sludge out of the old system? The glycol in my floor heat systems looks very dirty. I can’t imagine that little filter screen on the HE boiler not plugging constantly.

    Questions about slab heat

Just stopped at one of our sites and took a look at a smaller Raypack 263k FH boiler. It only has one gas valve and the modulation numbers are way different than our larger boilers so you need the card for your particular gas valve. This is set at 2 which sets it 135F. The automatic high limit...

    Questions about slab heat

We've run Raypack FH boilers since 1984 and unless my old memory is failing me, this is the first time I've ever heard of a "low limit" needing to be satisifed to continue to operate? My understanding is that there are two high limits....an automatic high limit and a secondary high limit that...

New Petit install & having HELL!! Need some help

It's been a while since I wired cryptopay into an ACW4 so I don't remember what wires are tied into what. I will tell you that the swiper should be disabled once that second wash is paid for and stacked. You should test a couple of things.... Flip your passive/active toggle switch to...

New Petit install & having HELL!! Need some help

Swapping in a brand new Inhibit relay is certainly a good idea. I've had plenty of relays where the internal solder joints come loose and become intermittent. Also, back when I was chasing my tail years ago on this issue, lots of people suggested swapping or replacing the relay pan in the ACW...

New Petit install & having HELL!! Need some help

Hold on a minute. Something else is wrong or something is not wired properly. The ACW4 is pretty simply. It is only capable of stacking and holding one wash. How are multiple people losing money? There are basically three states the ACW has: 1) Waiting to take payment. When it does it will...

New Petit install & having HELL!! Need some help

We have several ACW4/5’s and have had the same issue over the years. I personally think there is some type of glitch with the controllers as they have been hooked up to various automatic types and they all exhibited the same problem occasionally. The problem is that the ACW missed, for whatever...

    Discontinued Tokens

We used to tumble our CTX tokens in a mini cement mixer with rice. Now we don’t worry about it. They’re just a dirty dingier gold that doesn’t shine and we’re fine with that. I just wanted to see that the Salmon tokens simply become dull like I would expect and not some nasty looking coin.

    Discontinued Tokens

Is anyone using Van Brooks/Osbornes ‘Time Saver’ salmon colored token? If so, can you post a picture of a used/older one? I’m just curious what these will look like after sitting in a damp vac safe for a month.

    Discontinued Tokens

Well now I’m pissed. Why didn’t they offer me another CTX model? They sent me three samples of different coins that were different sizes and different colors. The only one that was 1.073” was a salmon color, not gold like my current token.

    Washworld Razor

Wow, they raised that a lot! I don't think my Razor has much impact as it is, I can't imagine adding 2 or 3 more nozzles.

    Discontinued Tokens

I didn't even think about the time involved in reprogramming all the multi-coin acceptors we have, I was more focused on all of the Slugbusters we'll have to replace. Between our 5 self-serves we have 38 Slugbusters and 50+ multi-coins. We also typically have close to 40,000 tokens on hand not...

    Discontinued Tokens

No. I don’t know if they killed the entire CTX line or just certain ones.

    Discontinued Tokens

Just a heads up to anyone using Tokens from Osborne/Tokens Direct/Van Brook. I went to re-order more of our custom token last week only to find out that it has been discontinued. Apparently they simply cannot get some of the metal needed to make our control token. We were using their CTX-812...

    Current Petit Owners/Operators

I also am not following your math. How did you arrive at this number? If you have a dual bay and you ran two HP passes per wash you still wouldn’t approach that volume. The high pressure pass is about 30 seconds, less for the top spray…so call it a minute total that HP pumps are running…that’s...

    Current Petit Owners/Operators

In case you're curious, I just measured and figured the volume of the holding tank on the Petit. The tank has about 35 gallons of usuable capacity. Our 'all in' average water consumption is about 56 gallons per car.
