    Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 problem

On a SoftGloss, the programs will vary somewhat, but all operate very similarly. We are looking at the bayswitch, backup air switch and the photoeyes mounted below the wheel scrubs as the vehicle leaves. When the vehicle exits, we need to see the bayswitch signal go "off". The backup air...

    Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 problem

On your OHD, if it is running the 23953-006 program you mentioned, this model requires side ultrasonic sensors. They may not be mounted directly to the wall, but could also be on stands approximately 10-12' from the entrance of the tracks. They will be about 3feet off the floor. At the end...

    Use Tire chemical in touch-free?

It really depends on the placement of the tire chem manifolds. If placed a short distance past the side blasters, it will stay on, then be washed off by the HI arm. The advantage of having a fixed undercar or side blaster (for the purpose of tire chem) is that the customers slow down. When...

    Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 problem

Unfortunately, you are right. An intermittent problem like that will be difficult to replicate unless they really understand how the machine works and can monitor the ultrasonic readings. A factory trained Ryko technician should be able to monitor the sensors and see if one of them is...

    Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 problem

At the end of the cycle, it's unlikely it would tag a code as we are just looking for a change in the state of the readings. If a tech visits the site, there are several bits he should monitor in addition to the typical ones he would monitor for what the sensors are reading. If a vehicle is in...

    Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 problem

From all this above, what it sounds like to me is that you have a side ultrasonic problem. If the side sensors don't lose the car, the wash will never satisfy vehicle detect because the PLC still thinks the car is there. If the side sensors detect the vehicle has left the wash, but the rear...

    Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 problem

With the 23953-006 program installed, you have one of the first vintage of US2001 OHD machines that we would call a "side sensor" machine meaning that you have an ultrasonic mounted to each side wall. To answer your question about the program, while there were a lot of enhancements made since...

    Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 problem

Is this machine a US2001 gantry model machine, or a US2001 OHD (overhead) machine? If this is an overhead machine, do you have wall mounted side ultrasonic sensors, or does the machine have two ultrasonics mounted on the trolley of the machine? Can you give me the program number and revision...

    Use Tire chemical in touch-free?

The two tire chemical offerings we have (one that is designed to foam, and the other not), they are formulated more toward the brake dust and road film than the typical high pH presoaks used for the rest of the wash, so if you can get the customers to slow down, there should be a benefit to them...

    Use Tire chemical in touch-free?

On the US2001 OHD, the recommended flowmeter setting for tire chemical is 1GPH if using the Ryko Tire Chemical. Is uses a P/N 10598-215 brass injector that is 3/8" MPT with 1-2 GPM flow rate.

    Ryko skipping back

Usually, it is the receiver. Assuming your machine has the FX2N PLC installed, if you look at the PLC, look for input X20. This is the photoeye input. If you have a vehicle in the bay, move the machine from the exit toward the entrance. Make sure the input goes off at the front tire, guide...

    Ryko skipping back

Yes, it would most likely be the banner photoeyes that are in the center of the machine. Not the ones on the exit side of the machine. Those brackets get abused a lot... Good luck!

    Ryko skipping back

A remote possibility could also be related to wheel wear. We expect the guide rails at a certain point of travel, so, if the wheels are worn, the machine won't travel as far for a specified time, so when the guide rails are seen by the photoeyes, the machine thinks they are in the wrong position.

    Ryko skipping back

Depending on if your Softgloss has clutches, or not, the ultrasonics are used to profile the vehicle as either a sedan, tall vehicle or pickup. This is used relative to the clutch logic (on/off), top brush interrupt and rear arm oscillation methods. It's not used at all to prevent overtravel...

    Ryko AMTT CS and WashCard

Loyalty Cards For customers that have integrated WashCard and other loyalty type card or RFID systems into the AMTT CS, we are limited by inputs available to the coinbox interface. Because of this, we’ve used the coin2 input to accept those signals. The down-side is that in the reports...
