    Air Compressor recommendation

I keep a spare compressor and pressure switch for my 80 gallon Campbell Hausfeld...Also keep a 5 hp 30 gallon compressor at home for a spare for when the 80 gallon craps out....The campbell hausfeld is over 20 years old...If the tank ever rots through, I like the one Mep linked to...I know a...

    Which coin acceptor ???

So what is it doing? I use sensortrons and have had some reject coins right out of the box. Some start rejecting weeks or months later. I've never been successful at adjusting the dial. If that's what yours is doing, I found a cure....I take needle nose pliers and bend out the reject arm about...

Anyone know how to stop these fittings from leaking?

Did you try putting the compression end together without thread tape? Maybe the threads are bottoming out before the taper?

Anyone know how to stop these fittings from leaking?

Something else to look out for is the compression angle. There are (2) different JIC fitting angles. 37° and 45°. You have to make sure you have the same angle in both fittings.

Anyone know how to stop these fittings from leaking?

Where are they leaking, on the NPT end or the compression end? You sure you have the right seat angle on the compression end? No tape needed on that end.

    Foam brush heads

Those or similar metal head Hogshair is what I've used since buying the wash. But to save $25-$30 each just by taking 5 minutes to drill & tap the Nogshair, I'm all onboard!

    Self Wash Bay Systems

I'm with everyone else here. Actually took their advice years ago and modified my old Mark VII stand as I had the time and $$$. Here is a thread I started back in 2010 outlining the changes I've made along the way. Looking back at how the old Mark VII was plumbed, I often wonder what the...

    KR- Excessive Shipping Charges

****Update**** Got a phone call from Kr today...I had originally sent an email questioning the excessive shipping charges and got the generic response. Actually I was quite surprised I got a call today! She indicated the shipping charges were incorrect based on the weight and size of the...

    Stainless for swivels?

I left the SS swivels in the end of the boom to keep from wearing out the threads in the boom when I change out the swivel savers (16" short hose). I don't think I've ever taken them out....

    Stainless for swivels?

Seriously! How many things are engineered to "Work as Advertised" only to find out they Don't! By design, the higher the pressure, the harder it is to swivel. At 1200 PSI pressure, the nylon washer is getting compressed pretty hard against the SS face inside the housing. So by design, if they...

    Stainless for swivels?

If you buy the kit, there are instructions in the kit. There is a tube in the swivel that gets pushed out using the supplied mandrel. There is a nylon washer, oring, SS center tube, and 2 different length mandrels in the kit. One mandrel is to push it apart, the other is for assembly. The...

    KR- Excessive Shipping Charges

Email I got from KR Customer Service: I certainly do agree with you that the price of shipping has gone up. We try to ship everything at one time whenever possible. We have not changed the way we handle backorder in any way. If you would like me to mark your account for us to hold a backorder...

    Stainless for swivels?

I believe the reason the SS ones wear out so fast is once pressure builds, they are hard to swivel by design. If you've ever taken one apart, you'll know what I mean. BTW, I like both, as long as your setup keeps the SS ones from having to swivel under pressure.... On the HP hose, I have a SS...

    Help with Tire Cleaner

I incorporate a 2 second delay on PS/TF chemical and the gun gets a 2 second blast of air before the chemical is injected. The blast of air coming from the Foam Gun definitely gets their attention and helps with the educating part. I rarely see someone who can't figure out how it works.

What blade for Chop Saw to make my own hoses?

Ditto on the 4-1/2" angle grinder being a handy tool. I have about 6 of them set up with a few spares on the shelf! Each with a different attachment. Flap Wheel, Grinder, Cutoff wheel, Diamond Wheel, cup wire wheel, and standard wire wheel....I get them when HF has them for $9.99....Even with...

    Help with Tire Cleaner

I had this happen several times before I saw the light! For me, the back-feeding PS would pour out the air regulator making one hell-ov-a mess in the er. Putting PS on the TF gun was one of the best things I ever did at the wash. For more reasons than just the mess it made when CV's failed...

    KR- Excessive Shipping Charges

It would also be nice if they estimated shipping during checkout. If I knew the shipping was going to be so high, I would have waited to order when I needed more. And they'll never catch me again on the back-order stuff. Ditto on the Priority Mail. The (2) hydrominder brackets would have fit...

What blade for Chop Saw to make my own hoses?

I used to use a big cable style cutter like a limb cutter, but it distorted the hose too bad and didn't want to cut through all the SS braid cleanly. So I started using my Harbor Freight Metal Cutting Saw... https://www.harborfreight.com/14-in-3-12-hp-heavy-duty-cut-off-saw-62459.html The...
