It turned out that a wire had broken off right at the switch in the brush head. It was a bitch to take the head off and fix it, but all good now.

I called the company and they strongly advised to clean and prep is first. While it does need rust to adhere, cleaning it just removes any oils and dirt that are on it. Prepping it etches the metal and leave a better base for it to adhere to. The rust will still be there as you would have to...

Perfect. I tried to install one today but it turns out that the mounting posts for the bill acceptor are short and I need to extend them. Any idea what the standard size is for the mounting posts for the bill acceptor. All bill acceptors use the same posts, so it should be the same size.

Great tip on checking eBay, it is cheaper there. What is the best way to apply it? Regular brush or foam? I can't figure out how much I would need and will probably just start with a couple gallons.
