    High ph hoses

I've never had one get so bad that it just cracked. The worst issue I have is the ones on wax and trifoam getting really hard, and when I have to change the foot valve I end up having to change the whole hose. My bay soap is really high pH and doesn't seem to affect the original Hydrominder hose.

    High ph hoses

Yes, a foot valve is a check valve other than its name. I hope this is a temporary plan, because the steel hose fittings will very quickly start to cause you problems.

    Polarized Water

I've also seen the "results" on a boiler. Old Raypak, guys were sold magnets that was supposed to eliminate the softener, three months later the heat exchanger was almost completely clogged and buckled.

What vacuum hoses do you use?

I've always used Smooth-Bor, but the last few batches haven't been any good. The biggest issue is the size not being consistent, either I can't get it into the vac or the tool is too tight or too loose. They aren't lasting years like they used to, only months now before it will break and...

    Reserve water capacity

FWIW my water pressure stays at about 60 PSI, and the tank for my 6-bay is supplied with a 3/4" stainless braided water heater hose, probably 1/2" ID. It's always been more than sufficient. If the hose on the same circuit can fill the tank, the restriction must be on the valve meant to keep it...

    Some car wash "history"

I helped a guy modify one which was easy, I also added a controller plus a second relay to turn the pump on with the weep system. Before that they were going in at 8:00 PM every day and turning off the breaker. Despite all those extra parts in the bay I've seriously considered doing the same...

    Reserve water capacity

The static pressure may be 50-60 PSI, but I'll bet it drops to almost nothing with things running, or the valve to fill the 300 gallon tank is way too small. Are you sure that tank is for regular water for those pumps and not the spot free?

I bought some copper pipe right before the 2021 freeze. It was $12 for a 10' stick of 1" L at Home Depot. It's $54 now.

    How scalable is your Biz….

I thought about mounting the whole thing, extractor, dirty water barrel, and a vacuum, all on a cart to be unhooked and moved out of the bay Friday night. I'd probably lock the unit to the wall, and my original thought was to either roll the unit into the equipment room or build a storage for...

    Floor Heat boiler puked...replacement options?

FWIW plumbers like to do a few jobs and make a bundle off each one. I had a customer call me once, almost in tears, because his boiler storage tank sprung a bad leak, and a plumber said it was going to cost something like $6000, and they needed a month to get the tank. He only called to see...
