    Self Service Bay Costs

The ICA did a study on this years ago and I am sure it has been updated since. Check their website for it. Also many of the trade magazines do yearly surveys across the country on this. I used the magazine surveys to setup proformas to secure SBA LOANS when I first started out

    Auto bay door seal

For me I really only needed 1 inch in retrospect. Most of my water gets pushed out the front of the bay after rocker panel blasters come on. ON the exit end most of water is what comes out of pickup beds while exiting. 1 inch is about $80 less than inch and half and would do the job for me. I...

    Auto bay door seal

I came across this product recently when rehabbing a auto bay. Garadry.com sells a couple of different seals to keep water from entering or exiting a bay. I used the rubber 1 1/2 inch garage door threshold on my automatic bay. This version is glued down using special glue they send with the kit...

    Replaced IBA

July 26 we had a IBA totaled. I targeted Oct 1 to be up and running with the replacement. WE missed by 11 days mostly due to electricians not being able to make it for 10 days after the basic install. Insurance is satisfied now and we are up and running. Very happy with the install but it has...

Making a front cover for Ryko OHD (touchless)

I have a few ohds that I could take take some pictures of and send rough dimensions for the bends etc. Originally the covers were held on with 1/4 expansion nuts and bolts. The bolts will seize after a year or two and then you have to grind them off. I found that plastic rivets used on RZR side...

Water is 25 grains hard, should I use soft water for all functions?

MY water is 20 grains of hardness. I have 2- 300,000 grain softner tanks at 2 locations and 2-100,000 grain tanks at another. It is not unusual for me to use 250,000 gallons or more per month per location. I soften all the water except the high pressure rinse in the SS bays and the HP rinse in...

Water is 25 grains hard, should I use soft water for all functions?

Hard water is fine for the rinse cycles with no added chemicals. You will loose your shirt if you try to use all soft water. Spotfree rinse will need to be soft first then through your RO

    Infrared heaters

You should have your temperature sensor in the cold area of the bay. If it goes into to a lockout condition it should have some type of flashing light to let you know what condition is not being met to provide firing.

    Infrared heaters

What I see on my infrared heaters when they do not start it is usually because the pressure switch that senses vacuum does not come on when the fan is running. Make sure you have no leaks in the tubes. I would have a couple of pressure switches on hand just in case.

Pay Damage Claim Out of Pocket or No?

I would definitely pay out of my pocket. If you still sell cars maybe you could get them to drive one of your vehicles while it is being repaired.
