Best uses of car washes... BESIDES a car wash?

One thing I see here is that many people are building commercial units that can be used as store fronts for various businesses that require a small store front but not a lot of space. Electricians, furnaces, painters, detail shop etc. They usually need these to meet zoning laws from not working...

    Mat holder panels for bay?

Polymax holds up very well in a car wash. The only downside is the freight cost. 1\8 is what I would use.

    Mat holder panels for bay?

I see a lot of people use FRP behind the mat holders. I would use the white poly panels from Farmtec if I were to do it again.

    Best Spray Gun?

I use the NOrth American wand gun because it has the grippy blue surface, not the slick black plastic that other guns have. I have been using them for about 3 years now and never had a failure or leak. I have to use a flexible wand because we get a lot of ice and customers will use a solid wand...

    Last 6 months business

The 125 number was given to me by a industry appraiser who does numerous washes every year. That was about 6 years ago. I also have asked others who operate express tunnels and been told 100 to 112 per million. Your $10 average may be a little high also. Either way we have to small of pie for...

    Last 6 months business

Industry experts say 30,000 people per express tunnel. Around 125 cars per day per million dollars spent to break even. I doubt any are making a true profit since they all had inheritance cash and have no mortgage. Not many self service bays in town so I have my niche. The express tunnels here...

    Exit door occasionaly staying open

I actually have 2 sets of photo eyes on each exit door. So it will see something low on either side. The reason I have mine setup like this is not to save dogs but to require that both sets of photo eyes to be clear before the exit door lowers or turns off the dryers. I had many vehicles with...

    Exit door occasionaly staying open

My rykos send the open\close signal through the door control buttons. When the photo eyes get dirty they occasionally keep the door.open. In rare occasions the door control buttons inn the bay gets corroded and does not allow the signal to always reach the opener. I replaced.one door control...

    ATV wash

ON my own atvs and SXS I always use tire shine after I clean them. Just spray it on when wet and let it dry. It makes it much easier to clean the next time. A silicone after wash spray makes them look new and easier to clean the next time.

    polymax panels for baysne

I installed Polymax on 2 automatic bays about 14 years ago. It is holding up very nice with no yellowing or deterioration. I ordered the stainless steel dividers and had them powder coated white before the install. I prefer the polymax over FRP and would do it again.
