Does each loop in your system have its own pump or does it have one big pump? Most systems i have seen use a pump for each loop and it is usually the pump that goes bad.
Because most of my competition have their car wash as a sideline business and not their primary source of income. They tend to follow trends and not set them. They focus on the "show" portion of a wash and not in the results of a clean car.
I have ran 3 locations with 2 IBAs using Hamilton pay stations for years processing credit cards with 1 phone line at each location. Just set them up so you can quickly unhook the phone line to each one. If Hamilton needs to dial in for updates leave the one being updated on line and unhook the...
I salt in front and back of auto bays and occasionally around vacs.. We get up early and plow our own lots so we can get it before the snow packs down. We plowed 3 times in the last week with over 4 inches of snow each time. If I had to salt all of my 1 acre lots each time it snowed I would be...
I had a very old guy show up about 20 years ago who liked to show up and go through our garbage cans and collect metal etc. He also liked to open the vacuums to collect the coins. I finally have him a key to vacs so he could clean them a couple times of month. I usually would not allow this but...
Before replacing the motor get your amp guage on it while it is running and see how much it is drawing. Also check every connection going to the motor. Make sure all contacts are tight from contactors to any wire nuts. A few times over the years I have found loose connections on dryer motors...
The first wash i built had an enclosed weep system with pump, heater, tank and power loss bypass. It was a major pain. You had to reheat the water or everything would freeze. It ended up being cheaper to just pay for weep water.
Flow switches do get sticky and need to be replaced once in a while. I would start with a flow switch. I did not like a pressurized system since it can lead to diluted anitfreeze in the system. If you do go back to pressurized system by a unit that has a tank and pump so you can keep track of...
People who come in and use services with no expectation to pay. Drop off garbage, use bays to detail, I offer free drying towels and get folks who pull in just to use them.
I dilute muratic acid 3 to 1 with water. Apply let dwell 1 minute and run with soft brush.in handle and rinse. Sorry not mystic, auto correct on a tablet.
I had a big loss this year that required a complete replacement of a IBA at 150K. We had good video and caught the guy but was still worried about my insurance renewal. Renewal came up and my insurance stayed the same. It was my first claim in over 10 years though.
I have no love for Century link but in my area they are probably the most reliable. 2 local towns here are installing their own fiber optic lines throughout the city so soon we will have multiple choices for companies. I really figure that once 5 G service is offered land line offered internet...
I figure I lost a few hundred dollars on 12/27 since I had no phone lines or internet to process CC at my locations. I did find a lot more big bills in the changer though. ( NOt counterfeit bills). I am sure the nationwide shutdown was a Chinese hack since they found a Panda munching their wires...
On problems like this I always start by replacing the control button. I have door buttons on the inside of each auto bay. A few years ago I got a call.from the police at 1 am that someone was trapped in one of my auto bays. I told them that there were door control buttons for each door in the...
A few years ago I fitted all.My locations with GE Simon security.systems. You can use their monitoring or program them to call you. I opted.for them calling me.. Many options so you tailor it to what you need
My original vacs had a large spring built inside of the vac bag. When the vac would turn on the bag and spring would compress during the cycle. When the vac would shut off the spring would extend effectively shaking the bag each time it was used. This is my favorite kind of setup for ease of...
