You probably won't have enough wires to add functions. Rather than running wires to the pump stand and then out to the new systems, I recommend running them to a box and terminating them there, then you can run a single cable to each system. Less work and cost that way.

It depends. I'm changing out my vacs so they're all either fragrance vac or shampoo vac, and I will most likely run them count-down since you can't run count-up and have a different time for the fragrance or shampoo. If I put a CC reader on a plain vac I'd run count-up.

Most of the ones I've serviced don't have them. I don't find them to be necessary unless the equipment room is on one end of a lot of bays.
