I have people routinely ask if I run hot water. I tell them no and apologize, and if they seem put off I tell them that almost no one in the area runs hot water anymore (which is true). So I know for sure some of them care, and I also sometimes see a customer feel if it's hot.

Dixmor should be able to repair the timer for a minimal cost, so don't throw it out.

It's just a running count. You have to record the numbers yourself and track them. The 4-character Dixmor timers reset at 10,000 coins so you have to check them often. There are systems that can track and give you analytics, but none that you can check with a magnet or remote will do that.

A lot of them do. GinSan equipment usually has the counters in the room. Dixmor timers have counters that you can read in the bay with a magnet or a remote. None of them will let you read CC usage.

Cost of chemicals is important too. I get mine at cost and I blend products together to make it both more effective and more cost effective, so my chem cost with a very busy 6-bay SS is about 5% gross.

The easiest way to install Cryptopay is have replacement doors made if you can move things around to make room. The configuration you do yourself, it's easier than setting a timer.

Kooler Ice. I know a guy with a couple of them. Pretty fast recovery so the machine isn't huge, all stainless steel, low maintenance.

It could easily be twice that, even three times that. Upgrading electric from single phase to 3-phase 250 amp could be $30,000 or more. A 6-bay and touchless will need 2" water. That alone could be $50,000. Adding a room, bay, pit and sewer could be $200,000.

Make sure there isn't a Petsmart or Tractor Supply or some other business that offers unlimited washing and supplies for a set fee. Ice machines can do really well around here in the summer. I know several people who have them and make good money off them.
