    Downstreaming chem in underbody?

I had a automatic that injected Zeibart in the undercarriage wash as a rust inhibitor. You could easily plumb a injector into your undercarriage wash. Several companies make presoaks designed to work on magnesium chloride. Blue coral is one I know of. Injecting the right presoak into the...

    Filmy sides

I now get my chemicals by the pallet from Kleenrite. I check titration at least once per month per automatic and more often when I get a new pallet of soap. I have my automatics setup with a flow meter after 2 different presoaks are blended. I can check the flow of chemical on the meter to know...

    Filmy sides

Do you titrate your chemicals? I was once using a small chemical firm that made a great product that worked very well for me for years. Unknown to me they started getting one of their key ingredients from a china supplier and not a us supplier. The cleaning went down hill and by the time I...

How to restructure my wash labor

I would do the 3 following things at the wash you have. 1. I would put a self service prescrub bucket in front of each automatic. A 30 gallon barrel works well. Use a small Wheels wizard brush on a fiberglass handle. The people who like clean wheels and tires can get out and prep themselves. 2...

    Car Wash Appraisal

Anyone can contact the mentioned appraisers and have them do a appraisal for you. They sell washes all over the country and also do appraisals. I have not used them but in the past have found local appraisers to not be very well informed about car wash valuations.

    Building weep water reclaim system

I forgot to mention that you will also need some type of heater to heat the water.

    Building weep water reclaim system

You will also want to add a solenoid to your weep reclaim so that if the power goes off it will stay open and keep the weep system going. I had a ryko built system once and they used a starite pump to move the reclaim water.

    Car Wash Appraisal

At the WCA convention I attended a workshop put on by Car wash Appraisers. It basically boiled down that a SS carwash value is equal to 5 times the gross sales amount. You can look them up on line.

    Undercarriage Nozzels

I have both types of undercarriage mentioned. I prefer the channel cut into the concrete method. It is not much money to cut a channel in the concrete. Then use a flat metal plate with holes cut in it to allow the spray to come up. The problem with a metal bent into the A shape is some tires...

Hamilton ACW not reading credit cards

The first thing I always check is to make sure you have dial tone at the ACW. Just plug in a phone in the ACW first to check dial tone. Plug in the handheld and it will show last post date. If it says last post error than do a repost and see if that clears it up. If not you can call hamilton and...

We had all 4 of our washes giving away free washes for Vets yesterday. It was a little cold here at first but it picked up pretty good in the afternoon. Like said earlier you met the nicest folks. All were very appreciative.

Metal halide to CFL conversion chart?

If you have wall packs in the bay it is a very easy conversion to mount the new T5 fixture in its place. On some of my Vac islands I replaced a 250 watt MH with 2-42 watt CFL fixtures purchased at home depot for $40 each. They are providing plenty of light.

Metal halide to CFL conversion chart?

1000lights.com will have the specs you are looking for on each light but not in a comparison chart. I pulled out the following info on the 250 W MH, 200 watt CFL and T5HO bulbs. A 250 watt MH initial lumens is 20,000 but will loose about 25% of the lumens very quickly and loose 40% by the end...

    Financial justification for new equipment

If I am planning on new IBA purchase I like to look at the monthly payment of equipment and figure out how many cars per month it takes for that machine to pay for itself. For example say a $2000 per month payment on the IBA, 30 days per month average ticket of $7 would mean about 10 cars per...

Choosing a Credit Card System for Your Carwash...IN THIS ECONOMY?!!!

I also saw the crypto system at the WCA show and it looked pretty good. Heartland is there processor and I liked the low price of the system. Another one to consider is wash gear. I have had very good luck with their system and the processing rates are the lowest of any system that I currently use.

    Ryko Problem

On my OHDs I think that the K5 relay is the one that usually sticks. ON your PLC it is a good idea to mark which lights should be on when everything is working correctly. Then if you have a problem you can ck the PLC lights that should not be on or those that should be to find the problem. In...
