    Foot valves

Have you tried the grey foot valves? They are a different O ring material and may last better for you. If you are using 3/8 OD hard plastic tubing you can get some John Guest in line plastic check valves and they hold up very well. They are a push lock design.

    KR Detail Supplies

I order Meguiars detail products from Kleenrite. It is not listed but you can have them get it in 55 gallon barrells. We get the all purpose cleaner, hyper dressing and all season dressing this way. We get more than one barrell at a time and that way it can be put on a pallet to reduce shipping...

Credit Card to Token Retrofit Kits-Question

Hamilton does not make their machine any longer but they do support it. Mine uses a regular phone line and calls in each time to check a card. You set it up to dispense and charge a given amount. It batches out every night and sends a fax or email to you to let you know that days transactions...

Credit Card to Token Retrofit Kits-Question

In 2003 I built a wash and used one hamilton credit card to token machines for the wash. Last year I added a wash gear system to the SS bays at this location. After 10 months I sell more in one month with the wash gear system than I ever sold in a year with the token teller. Now the token teller...

    New Dixmore Goldline display

UPS brought me 4 new dixmore displays for my hamilton goldline acws today. It only took 10 minutes each to install them. This is another great improvment like the dixmore displays for the older acw4s. Now the display can be read in any kind of light and the letters are much bigger. Randy hooked...

    Don't forget to....???

In this economy I would do extensive due diligence on the equipment distributor and manufacturer. The last thing you want is a peice of equipment that is no longer made or supported. Also do not get conned into a large down payment on equipment before it shows up on site. Allow at least 10%...

    Question about an Association President

I recall someone sending me a link to all of the judgements on this guy. Most were by contractors who had worked on a few washes he built and then never paid them for the work.

    Ryko Ultrasonics

In my experience with the ultrasonics it is very rare that they go bad. I usually find a bad wire in the cat track on the gantry or a wire in the boom that attaches to the wall. It is good to have a spare ultrasonic to hook up to see if the wires are bad somewhere before installing one. I always...

    Bucket Washing

Like I said in an earlier post it was my wife who kindly asked the man to leave when he was bucket washing and I had other people waiting. I have my own way of dealing with a bucket washer at my wash. If I see one in a bay and it is not to busy I watch on the video system. I turn the power to...

    A new way to complain

After more research today I found out that she sells prepaid legal services. I am sure she had some free legal time to use up. It is pretty easy to find a public record such as a UCC1 filing for equipment leans etc. on leases. We kept here voice message to us where she is also talking to someone...

    A new way to complain

I was out of town last week and had a customer complain about a SS wash she had received. THe thing is she did not send it to me but instead addressed it to my bank with my name on it. THe bank forwarded it to me but the letter was already open probably by accident. The complaint is totally...

    Etowah Valley 2536 Error?!?

One thing that I have done in the past is to turn the power off to the timer when I see the light blinking indicating the modem is on. This will normally reset the modem so the next person can use the credit card function. In extreme cases I open up the timer and unplug the power wires off of...

    ryko OHD trolley gearbox

Sometimes the arm will get confused and think it is on the wrong side of the gantry and won't move. Turn the arm so that you can pull the arm to the middle of the machine by hand. This will let it clear the prox switch plates. Then you should be avle to drive it to the home position.

    Bucket Washing

My wife was working her detail shop next to my wash today. She saw a guy bucket washing a trailer and his pickup. She asked him to leave as we do not allow bucket washing. He said he would not leave. After he was done in the wash he pulled out to dry the trailer and pulled so he blocked our...
