Cat 310 - Water in the Oil

Bubbles, This is highly unlikely to be the problem; but on our earlier Cat pumps before the Cat 310s ... the vent hole on the big red cap had tape over it that was supposed to be removed & was not. It actually caused the oil to get milky from water. It must have had been something to do with...

Is a $1 Pre-Authorization Too Low or Effective Enough?

Mep, Earl, & others, I agree I could have made it more clear ... about the fact that my large foreboding friend was charged ZERO AMOUNT since he was just checking his prepaid credit card account balance at our ATM for FREE! The ATM also prints out on thermal paper ... the prepaid credit card...

Is a $1 Pre-Authorization Too Low or Effective Enough?

John & others, I know there is percentage of people who in order to use a credit card they have to use a prepaid card. A while back I had to diffuse a situation where some 6' 10" African American massive hulk of a person was furious because he thought our ATM charged his prepaid card an extra...

    Clearing drain stoppages

Rotating style? More flow gain? Kevin & others, The bent conduit is a good idea! Anybody have good luck with a specific brand of rotating type of jetter nozzle? We are now using just the non rotating nozzles because the rotating ones we tried seemed to not stay together? Over 20 years ago...

    Fleck 2900s Water Softener

I am not sure that it applies here but I have heard that a silicone based lubricant can also act as a preservative of rubber.

    Fleck 2900s Water Softener

Rudy & others, At a swimming pool supply place we purchased a tube of silicone that is supposed to be a bit better than Sil-Glyde that we also use. The reasoning is that the silicone does not deteriorate rubber whereas petroleum based grease can. MikeW

    Fleck 2900s Water Softener

Rudy & others, Thanks for the excellent lead. About the tools ... we learned the hard way on some crimping tools for when we built our dog wash & a few other adventures ... that the right tool can be a make or break situation. In my opinion, it is better to be aware of the needed or helpful...

    Dual Pressure in my bays

Magic, I usually get clobbered when I suggest the Cat or KleenRite variable pressure gun. It is called their "dump gun" It might be what you are interested in. It is pretty minor to keep the plunger of the trigger working properly by spraying a little WD40 & working it in on the plunger...

    Dollar Coin Info

The below article was written by someone very qualified to inform ... it points towards the Federal Reserve as being the institution more than anything else for the bad distribution problems of the Dollar Coin. MicroCoin QL fit & interface needs???

Thermostatically controlled heaters improvement??? Cantbreak80, I am assuming that the ribbon cable comes with the basic car wash QL version without any additional part. Do you find that you need the heaters with thermostats to keep the MicroCoin QL not as wet? It appears that we made the...

MicroCoin QL fit & interface needs???

I.B., Thanks for answering.... anybody else have any input? About the last paragraph, I agree "conformal" is kind of a big word. It means a waterproofing process that may not have been added or used on my MicroCoin QL made for a "dry inside environment" like inside our laundromat. Maybe...

MicroCoin QL fit & interface needs???

For those who use MicroCoin QL in their self service bays & just have 24 VAC available ... do you need to have a 24 VAC to 12 VDC interface or do you get by without it??? I seems like it would take up valuable space within the coin box. I am assuming that if both Parker & IDX fit on the box...

    Built in America

Manufacturing at every component level Bill P, I listened & saw the whole newscast link. I tend to be a bit partial towards Diane Sawyer anyway. Her optimistic tone had an encouraging sense to it. Most people look for value. Of course new innovation is part of that value. As long as your...
