Sand Pit Pumping - Looking for ways to minimize the cost

Depending on state regulations you could do a few things. In California if the pit dirt is dry you can dump it in the dumpster. With a handi-clam you could scoop out a few buckets full each day and drop them in the dumpster when dry. might save a few bucks but would be back breaking work.

    Gas...they're practically giving it away!

We are still at $3.15 per gallon but it is dropping. In the spring everyone was blaming high gas prices for the lack of business at carwashes. WIth this gas price drop is everyones business just going through the roof based on the lower prices? I am not seeing a big rebound in business.

    softgloss tracks

When I had the track machines I would take the gear box and wheels to a machine shop to be pressed off. Sometimes they can get them off and save you the expense of a new gear box. Also I always replaced my bearings with stainless steel marine bearings. THey cost about $70 each vs. $40 but lasted...

I agree on the raffles that they do draw the people away from the booths. I will see what I can do about that. Maybe I can introduce a mystery time raffle where it is just announced over the PA system all over the show floor and give the people who won 10 minutes to pickup the prize. It would be...

Looking at buying a small one bay self serve Car wash - info / advice please

I think a good SS car wash usage runs about 10% of total time available. National average per bay is about $1500 per month. If you are the only one then maybe you could get to $2500 per month.
