Damage To My Automatic From Customer

On many automatics they have a treadle or presuure plate on each side of the rails so that they both have to be activated before the wash will start.

ICA published capture rates? % cost of supplies per wash?

The ICA spent several hundred thousand dollars doing their studies. I think they have done a more up to date study in the last few years. Some people have an axe to grind against certain organizations and like to plug their own wares for their own profit. You can also get some of the information...

    door not closing consistantly

My doors close using the photo eyes not a magnet. I have ryko controls also. I have never had a problem with ryko controls but have had contactors stick in the door openers before. Is there a way to stop using the magnet control and just go with the photo eye setup to close the door.

    Carolina Pride Recir Presoak Costs

My heat cable is a little more than flat ribbon like most people use. I use Raytheon winter guard wet cable. It has extra layers so it won't rub through all the wires. It puts out 6 watts per foot and I have been using it over 10 years in some locations with no problems at all. It even comes...

    Carolina Pride Recir Presoak Costs

I had 3 ryko SS systems that recircualted both tire clean and presoak like you described. I got rid of all the pumps and setup a pump system that used on demand Flojet 57 pumps. I added a heat cable system to the trough systems and have been very happy with the change.

Why you don't always make more money by selling more.

To get back on point here are a couple of things Bob Clements once told me at a ICA convention. Having 5 wash locations was when he was the most profitable. Once he got above 5 locations he had to grow to 20 locations to match the money he made with just 5 due to the increased layers of overhead...

no soap in bays high pressure low pressure

In the past I have had this type of pump lock in between the stroke where it switches from up to down. Unscrew the top and manually cycle the pump down and up a couple of times. Screw the top back on and it should work. You should hear a clicking sound if the pump is working properly.

Price Shopping on Supplies and Chems.

I try to look at replacment parts in a couple of ways. If it is a part that I can replace on my own I will buy it at the best price from who ever and do it myself. If it is something my distributor has to install then I will usually pay him his price for the parts and labor. They have to drive a...

    Foamy Brush: Weep vs. Methanol~

I would also like to add another possibilty to this argument. What if you hooked up a weepmiser to the foam brush lines to blow air through the foam brush system. Reduce air pressure to about 15 psi with a regulator and then play around with the weep miser settings for on time. That way you...

Should We Taxpayers Bail Out Gm, Ford ,chrysler?

Ford just sold 2/3rds of their 33% of Mazda back to Mazda to raise money. I think that the governemnt should give a $5000 to $7500 tax credit to anyone who buys a Big 3 vehicle between now and the end of the year. That will free up alot of spending and may get the economy moving again. It would...

    Safecracking in CA

Crooks don't have to take quarters to a bank, any grocery store with a coin star counter will cash them in. I have always tried to have layered locks on anything that has money. A crook might know how to defeat one lock but seems they don't know how to defeat others so they move onto the next...

    Ryko SoftGloss Treadle

I have switched over many Rykos that used the treadle to a pressure pad. Get the wide ones and they will work fine. If you need a short time fix for your treadles now you can run a jumper wire on the PLC from the left and right treadle switch inputs so that if one is working it sends the signal...

    FRP panels without silicone?

I have found Muratic acid from the paint store to work very well on polymax. I usually do 2 panels at a time. I pour it straight into a bucket and dilute with an equal part of water and use a brush to put it on the wall panels. After getting both panels covered with acid I go back to the start...
