New technology advice on Surveillance Cameras

At the very least, get a 16-channel DVR that comes with eight cameras. I see kits out there where it's only an extra hundred bucks or so than an equivalent 8-channel unit with 8 cameras, then you can always add more if you need them.

Blame it on the check valve

I know the feeling, I destroyed a brand new Cat 630 outlet manifold the other day because the regulator was jammed. It ran great until I let go of the trigger, then I heard the o-rings blow out through the brick walls.

    High pressure ceiling boom

I know, you need to attach the threaded rod to something with strength, run the threaded rod down through the ceiling panel, and attach the boom to that. I've done it on several Coleman car washes that have only the spindle come through the ceiling. Their booms are almost $1000, but the flush...

    I don't think that's a softener problem.

    Pump Oil Changes

The Giant 318 should have 30W non-detergent. The 420 calls for 80W-90. The Giant 318 is a real POS compared to a Cat 5CP. If you aren't wearing out the 318's on a regular basis, you aren't doing enough business.

    High pressure ceiling boom

I replace lots of Coleman booms with Dralco. Steel model linked so you can see the mount, they also come in stainless. https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-63451-dralco-d360-fl-cr-t-flush-mount-360-degree-plated-steel-swivel-boom-90-inch-truck-bay-arm.aspx I'm guessing you have a long spindle to...

    Rowe Changer Issue

I don't think so, if you ran ten bills through and it's always either short or even, it would have to be a sensor issue and it's not counting correctly. If it was a solenoid issue it might miscount the first bill but the rest would either be correct or it will dispense high and low but average...

    Q-See cameras out of business

It's not available on Amazon anymore, it was a Wisenet "Super HD" DVR with sixteen 5MP cameras, $700. Item # SDC-89445BF in case you want to look for it on eBay or elsewhere.

    Led 7 install in Bay

You need to connect the brown wire from the timer to the red/green wire to the coin acceptor and to the red/green wire that goes back to the room, then your push-to-start button will work. The stop button inside won't work and should be unhooked, but you can still clear the time from inside by...

Strange humming sound when foamy brush is on

It won't hang from the stand by the conduit nipple, but it will work. Your old one is probably not even bad if it's humming. It's not unusual for them to do that after 20-30 years.

Strange humming sound when foamy brush is on

I usually just remove them and put a pressure regulator on the weep supply. That may not work as well in your case if you need a high weep flow in colder weather, but here it barely takes a heavy drip to keep from freezing. Turning the weep PSI down to about 20 lets the low pressure functions...

Strange humming sound when foamy brush is on

That weep solenoid is normally open. It closes whenever a bay is running to keep the weep from diluting the low pressure functions. You can unhook it, but you can't disable it in the summer.

    Rowe Changer Issue

Can you hear if it's filling properly? I've had a small piece of paper get hung in the sensor eye just right to cause erratic counting. You'll have to test it a bunch of times and listen to see if it's counting properly into the escrow buckets. It's unlikely that some coins are getting stuck...

    Clack Water Valve Problem

What is it you think needs fixed? Assuming this is a softener with a single head on two tanks, it's doing what it's supposed to. It's possible that the restrictor has failed and it's dumping too much water during the backflush cycle, but it does flow a lot of water during that.

    which float valve is better?

The "Watts" part is the pilot valve of the assembly. The assembly is from Walters. You do know that I've worked for a distributor for 26 years and that I know this stuff. The purpose of the "board" isn't to give you a definitive answer, it's to give opinions based on experience so you can...
