Top Brush Control Idea \ moved the robot

The reverse hanging brush is to do the back end or as one of my guys called it the A$$ wiping brush. I recall seeing a video of brush that revered direction mid car to do this and it hung from a jointed arm. Seemed like a technology and mechanical nightmare. Using only one reverse mounted...

Top Brush Control Idea \ moved the robot

In my setup it was only one solenoid valve with 2 switches. The floor treadle and the limit switch. The Floor treadle made the solenoid / cylinder exhaust, and the limit switch closed the exhaust on the solenoid and filled the cylinder. This is a common 3 way solenoid valve.

Self serve tire shine machines near vending

Still have mine - Was made by "Effex" - Out of Service in the building. It used Armor All. Made a mess. Saved it for possible later conversion to tire inflator.

    Slugbuster II - Paraplate wiring

I could only find a diagram for the old brown timers and the newer Blue ones are different. Anyone have a diagram for wiring a slugbuster II to a paraplate? Typically one lead goes to a coin switch Wich one?

    Self Serve Foam

Yep, start at equip room . Pull hose off exit side of solenoid and turn on Brush. - No liquid exiting? Fix solenoid. Could be clogged or not operating. Soap exiting? Check hose tabove bay to see if it exits there. If it exits hose check each additional fitting to the brush.

    Grating for Pit

Steel grating often, but not always asymmetrical- has rectangular holes so the orientation would affect the strength over a 22" Gap. Fibergalss typicaly has square holes so the length over the 22" gap will not affect the strength. If this was designed for a wash it should be OK for the 22" gap...

    Vacuum timers...?

The ones with relays also have 24V transformers. Frankly none give me much problem. Probably replace a couple of timers a year out of the 40 Vacs. This includes Paraplate, Ginsan, and Coleman timers. I will acknowledge that the ones with relays and transformers seem to need less frequent...

    Vacuum timers...?

True enough. I was thinking of mine that use a 24V / 110 V Relay with a 24V transformer for the mechs.

    Grating for Pit

When I went to Fiberglass I made them 48" long. That's how wide the panel was and I got as many as I could from a panel. With steel I may have gone to 24" to make them easier to handle. 48" was too heavy and 36" does not divide out of a 4 x 8 panel.

    Vacuum timers...?

Also ads 2 more things to go bad / troubleshoot. As well as more spare parts to stock. I have about 20 vacs with and 20 without this setup.

    Vacuum timers...?

For instance if you have a paraplate timer the terminals are 1. Line 2&3 neutral 4 . Load. Now, typically 1 & 2 are incoming power. Put a volt meter on those 2 to make sure you have power coming in. 3 & 4 would then be the two that are for the motors. BUT YOU NEED TO TEST TO MAKE...

Update on other self serve prices and time

Posted this also on the Super Bay set up topic but it's relevant here. what is the typical price differential from regular to super bay. 25, 50 cents or something else?

    Super Bay Set up

Price differential? Since I am at $2.50 was thinking of going to $3.00 which is a 20% premium. One of my closest competitor is only a 25 cent premium.

    Vacuum timers...?

Note - You can get fooled with a newer Paraplate. If there is a motor issue the timer has an internal trip / safety mechanism. It will re set if the fault is removed for a period of time. One way to tell is remove wires from the motor terminals, wait a minute or so and test with a meter to see...
