How did you pick the name for your wash?

I agree with a name that means something personal to you. Here's why we named ours Cheetah Express (after a visit to South Africa and a one-on-one experience with Cheetahs):

Poll: We are completely cashless at our car wash

That set-up would not work here in a small South Texas rural town where many don't even have credit cards or computers. Our business is currently 65% credit cards/35% cash.

    Washworld Profile

There are many different belts on the Profile -- the main ones are on each side that run the bridge -- although they're made of Kevlar, they still snap. There are many other belts that connect with the brushes. You'll definitely know when belts break and your wash goes down and you start...

    Washworld Profile

From what I've heard, the Mark 7 can't compare to the Profile; although many have them. I really can't be specific about the motors, hoses and belts. There are actually and literally hundreds of belts and hoses on these machines. The motors and gearboxes are the ones that run the brushes.

    Washworld Profile

We have been fortunate to be washing over 21,000/yr. So yes, that has put alot of wear and tear on the Profile. As stated in my original post, we're frequently replacing hoses, belts, motors, gearboxes, and sensors, but those numbers speak for themselves. It's a machine, and things wear out...

    Selling the wash

After the hell we went through with Wells Fargo for an SBA loan, I wish you luck with the Environmental Study. The SBA and many banks absolutely HATE Dry Cleaners and Gas Stations. We had a Gas Station adjacent to our site and the Environmental Survey took forever to do while they tried to...

    Water usage newer IBAs

We are in the process of installing a Razor in a new wash bay next to our Profile; but we are also installing a reclaim system to help save water.

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

We have a big decal on the Equipment Room Door that says: In Case of Emergency Call.......... The number is also on the printed receipts from the pay station.

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

Sure, you could consider that. But when we have stupid drivers who are too far over to the left or right and then complain that the wash told them to leave, we just tell them it's Driver Error, since the instructions do say Center Your Vehicle...... They either can't drive or can't read, and...

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

We actually use the Yellow/Amber reflectors, since they go better with our color scheme; but I've found that people feel intimidated with the rails, sometimes drive over them, and are not comfortable going between the rails. It's a personal decision that we made. I know many others use the rails.

    Gift Cards w/ PDQ/WALS

Yes, we're doing a refit on the existing Access, and purchasing the ICS Auto Sentry Flex. We currently have the Access on the entry to our Profile and that will get the refit; and are adding a 2nd bay with a Razor. The new bay will have the Auto Sentry Flex. I'm very worried about how to...

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

Yes, hope they can get it figured out for you. All the WW advertising for the Profile shows it being able to wash duallys.

    IBA Average Daily Cars Washed

Coach, don't want to depress you, but to answer the question of the original post, our best day so far this year was May 6, when our Profile washed 110 cars. Our best year was last year, when we washed a total of 21,715, which looks to average just under 60/day. Someone bought the old, beat-up...

    Gift Cards w/ PDQ/WALS

I have been doing this manually in the WALS acct. on my desktop. You need to buy the Access Wash Cards from PDQ. I set up the account for the person, enter the type of wash, click on Card Issued, add 10 washes to the Transaction section, enter the amount paid. I then mail them the card. I...

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

Our Profile can handle duallys as long as the vehicle is centered between the guides on the floor. We have that as part of our Instruction sign: "Please Center Your Vehicle Between the Yellow Guides." We also had the WW techs adjust the amperage so that the brushes give them a speck more...

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

I looked back at our proposal, which is from 2018, and it has the same note on the Power Wheel Detailer. It's nothing separate, but I believe it is the attachment that sprays the chem onto the wheels.

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

I'll let APW give you their remarks about the touchless wheel detailer, which we also have, and we did not add the tire chemical application. I was once advised, since we can wash duallys, that the tire chemical applications don't do well on them. We also do have the Foam and Flow, since we...

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

Thanx for your kind words. We're being punished the last couple of days when it rained, so daily numbers were like 18 and 24 so far this week. Once the rain goes away, I hope all those big numbers come back. That's the car wash business. Ya just never know!

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

We have had all those items go through our wash and the Profile seems to not have any problem with them. On rare occaisions, it will contact something on someone's car or truck that it doesn't like, and will abort the wash. This happens only rarely. It will do an Auto-return and will allow...
