Conversion of PDQ WALS Acct. into ICS WashConnect

It all seems very complicated. Hopefully, we'll hear from a member who has experienced this.

Conversion of PDQ WALS Acct. into ICS WashConnect

I would like to hear from anyone who has converted their WALS Accounts from their Access Machines into the ICS machines. We will be doing this shortly when the ICS refit is done to our existing Access machine, and the addition of the new ICS machine for the new wash bay. The information...

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

We have had only minimal damage claims with our Profile -- a wiper blade here and there; and an antenna once.

Friction IBA guys. Same shutdown issue

Same with our Profile. In the 3 years we've had it, we've not had any problems with trailer hitches or brush guards; and our site is also unattended. If the Profile does hit something it doesn't like on a vehicle, it will abort the wash and tell the customer to exit. It might occaisonally...

    New Razor Double Barrel, options.

That's why I didn't order the Edge, but just the Razor. I had heard that there are alot of problems with the lights and they are always needing to be fixed or replaced. I don't care about giving the customers a light show. They're there to get their car washed and if they want entertainment...

    Vacuum cleanouts and homeless

Gin-San makes something they call a "shroud" which which fits over the clasps on the back of the vacuums and locks with one key. Since installing them on our vacs, we no longer have a problem with bums breaking into the vac buckets. If anyone wants a picture, let me know and I'll put one on...

    New Razor Double Barrel, options.

We love the power tower and UC that comes with our Profile. When discussing the new Razor that will be installed hopefully in the next month or so with our distributor, he recommended not to get the Foam n'Flow, but just the Hyperflex because it can do the same thing, and faster.

    Selling the wash

If they want an environmental study done, they should pay for it. You're under no obligation to do that.

    Lock stuck in paystation

Our locksmith told us to use the Houdini also. It's a silicone spray. Works great. We use it frequently in our vac locks.

    ICS Auto Sentry Flex

Thanks so much for your input. They sound like they'll be a great improvement over the Access entry machine I've been dealing with for the last 6 years.

    ICS Auto Sentry Flex

That's a big relief, thank you. We will somehow have to get our online purchases that are currently done through our website and the WALS customer portal changed over to ICS's online plan, which scares the hell out of me. It all seems very complicated.

    ICS Auto Sentry Flex

Thanx for the info. I really had no choice, since we're heavily tied into PDQ's Access Machines's WALS (Wash Access Loyalty System) with alot of folks using the cards and wash codes; and it would be a total nightmare to change over to another company's set up. The ICS system will incorporate...

    ICS Auto Sentry Flex

I had put this post on another thread previously, but it probably should have been a separate thread. We are in the process of adding an additional bay and will be installing the ICS Auto Sentry Flex along with their Retrofit to our existing Access Machine. The new Auto Sentry will be tied...

New Washify Pay Station for IBA's

We are in the process of adding an additional bay and will be installing the new ICS Auto Sentry Flex along with their Retrofit to our existing Access Machine. My distributor for these, who also owns and services multiple washes told me that his are working flawlessly. Any comments from anyone...

    First touchless build please help

" breakdowns on a Saturday morning when the weather has sucked all week and cars are lined up" That's the story of my life with this car wash. I can definitely relate to that point. It never fails. The tech who works on our entry machine recently sent me an email saying he had sent a...

    How do you refund people?

I try like hell not to give refunds, but give them a Wash Code for a free wash. I've been lucky -- the majority of the time it works real well and everyone's happy. Occaisonally I get someone who says they're from out of town and won't be back, so then I have to send them a check.

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

No, their wash is "aborted" and they'll have to pay again. The machine will reset itself, the brushes will go back to the Home position, and the next car in line will be told to enter. Many times, they call us, and want to know why the machine threw them out. I explain to him they were not...

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

We use Yellow Highway Reflector Markers in our bay with our Profile, since I agree with you that the rails can be very intimidating to customers. One of the Instructions on our sign says, Please Center Your Vehicle Between The Yellow Guides." We still get idiots that drive in crooked and when...
