    Razor rear washing

Same here. Our Profile is programmed to use both brushes to clean the back of vehicle. And our instruction sign says to remove trailer hitches, but the majority of customers ignore it. We haven't had any instances yet with trailer hitches of all sizes, but you just never know.

    Pulling the trigger on Petit

We've had only one person "try" to make a claim for scratches caused by our Profile. After showing the customer the video of her wash, both she and her husband realized it could not have been caused by the soft foam brushes on the Profile. It obviously happened in the parking lot where she...

    Pulling the trigger on Petit

I used to work in Corpus Christi very close to that building. It's an old drive-up bank area and parking garage. I saw where this wash was going in, but never followed it or kept track of it. I can't imagine you can get a decent wash in 3 minutes and there's only one wash package. And...

New Car Wash Build - First Time

WET is the reason we dumped our Tandem and went with WW. Enough said.

    Washworld Profile

That's why it's called the "Profile". The sensor actually sees a digital image of the vehicle and can tell it's a pick-up. You can watch the screen and actually see what the machine is seeing. The top brush does not go down into the bed. It goes over the roof of the cab and keeps going...

Color Scheme for Carwash - Part 2

Yes, definitely No. 1. That orange is an attention-getter. Our Cheetah Express glass building is orange metal. Very visible from the road.

Questions for those with a Washworld Profile

Wow. That is awesome. Our top number was 117, which happened a couple of years ago in March. Hasn't happened since.

Questions for those with a Washworld Profile

I believe you're exactly right about the 7 per hr. That's what I've figured in the past based on our wash times. Every time we've tried to speed up the process, we've had problems with the quality of the wash. Will be interesting to see what happens when we put in the Razor, since it is...

Questions for those with a Washworld Profile

Thank you. Yesterday was our first full day open since the "Big Freeze" here in TX. It took 3 days to fix broken pipes and the equipment. We were getting calls every day from folks asking "when will you be open?" I was encouraged by their support; and bummed out that we couldn't open sooner.

Questions for those with a Washworld Profile

I just wanted to add something about Triple Foam, since it was discussed earlier in this thread. For those who think TF is a "do without," we ran 101 cars through our Profile yesterday and 79 bought the top wash with the Triple Foam. It blew me away. We've never had a percentage of top wash...

Yes. When we had the PDQ Tandem with the actual brushes for wheel cleaners, we had several claims for scratched wheels. There's no liability with the touchless and it does it great job.

I believe the wheel detailers do make a big difference in the overall result.

Ours are also touchless and agree with everything you just stated. We use a high alkaline cleaner in ours by ChemQuest -- Select 35 -- and it does a great job.

    Washworld Profile

It's definitely an individual decision you'll have to make. My distributor tells us we're the only ones they have, who have the wheel detailers. I wanted to offer our customers something they don't get at the other automatics in the area, and there are only a couple within a 30-minute drive...

Horror story w/ city, after Snowmageddon

Wow. That's wonderful news. Congrats. Hope I can say the same once we finally get open again!

Horror story w/ city, after Snowmageddon

I've started a claim with them for reimbursement of the cost of repairs. Am wavering on a loss of revenue claim.

Horror story w/ city, after Snowmageddon

On top of all that, I just got a call from WW advising that although they were "planning to be here today", they now can't find the pipes needed within 6 of their suppliers, which seems to now be a big problem. They'll be running around all day looking for them, so now I have no idea when...

Horror story w/ city, after Snowmageddon

Coach, I feel for you. Our small town has such an antiquated infrastructure that there were leaks in their lines everywhere and the City's water was shut off for a couple of days, and when they finally turned it back on, it was alternately for 5-6 hours at a time while they worked on fixing all...

    Washworld Profile

Thanx so much. The new bay for the Razor will be the same type of building, but a bit smaller. And to Coach's comment of the timing of the Top Wash, we've asked them to speed it up and have tried various things, but the results didn't make the customers happy, since we seemed to get more...
