    Washworld Profile

The 7-1/2 for the Top Wash does not include the blower. The vehicle moves from the wash area after 7-1/2 min. into the drying, area and the next vehicle moves in, and the dryer is timed for 1 minute on the exiting vehicle. The Top Wash starts with a Bug Pass and Presoak, followed by 2 passes...

We have 3 washes: Basic Wash is about 4 min.; middle wash is 5-1/2 min. and Top Wash is 7-1/2 min. The Base Wash is a single pass, and the other 2 are double passes. Middle and Top wash include Bug Pass and Tire Scrub; and Top Wash adds Triple Foam and Carnauba application. All 3 include...

    Washworld Profile

We installed a WW Profile-Max in late 2018. It's loaded, to include Triple Foam, Foam & Flow and Wheel Detailer (high pressure, not brush). We also have their Power Tower and Undercarriage wash. I wouldn't change anything, but will warn that depending on your car-count, things do wear out and...

    Frozen Texas Washes

Got a call from the City this morning advising they were turning off the water at our meter because water was coming "out of the corner of the wash". Looks like the main pipe from the city water to our wash burst overnight. Plumber can't make it until later today, so all the other repairs will...

    Frozen Texas Washes

Our WW Profile shuts down automatically when temps go below 35. We've been down since Sunday. I haven't actually been to the site, since roads have been treacherous for driving, but I plan to go there today. My cleaning helper lives very close to the wash and took pics of broken pipes, hoses...

Unlimited Pass - Why are they offered?

Having just a single unattended IBA, we still occaisionally get requests for a membership program like what is offered with the big tunnel washes. But I believe the key to success with membership programs is the demographic of your area. I believe the idea of the memberships actually making...

    Good News for Car Washes

Some fun reading, according to GM, the most popular color for new car purchases is WHITE! Love it, 'cause they're always dirty...

    Vacuum dirt robbed last night

We had the exact same thing happen here (on 2 vacs). Made a mess, and also stole the rubber debris catchers (baskets) that are inside the vacs. Did not report it. Ours were padlocked, but they cut around the latch and opened the door. GinSan has a security addition like a long thin box that...

Dover bought ICS? DRB bought Engenuity? what are your comments on this? Dover also owns Bellinger equipment

A positive will be that with ICS, PDQ plans to use the ICS technology to totally redesign and upgrade their entry machines (Access), which really need improvement. We've got one and it's been a total pain in the butt w/numerous problems.

Adding Automatic to 6 Bay self serve

I would just like to add -- something for you to remember -- a friction machine will require quite a bit more maintenance than the touchless. There's more moving parts and more to wear out and go wrong.

    A Busted Profile for X-mas

However, what I didn't mention, is we have discount coupons printed on the back of the local supermarket (HEB) receipts offering $1 off our basic wash, $2 off the middle wash, and $3 off the top wash. They get about 1,500 customers a day, and we're averaging around 125-150/mo. of users and...

    A Busted Profile for X-mas

No, we do not have an unlimited wash program. It's a small, rural town with pop. of only 5,000 in the actual town; but it's the only automatic within a half-hour drive for the surrounding towns also; lots of farmers, ranchers, oilfield, construction. Lots of dirty, caliche roads. The...

    A Busted Profile for X-mas

Thank you for your well-wishes. Our distributor tells us we're the busiest single IBA they have; and the amount of washes so far is taking a toll on the equipment, which is why we plan to install another bay with a Razor next year. It will take some of the wear and tear off the Profile...

    A Busted Profile for X-mas

We had it installed in mid-Sept. of 2018. To date, just a little under 50,000 washes.

    A Busted Profile for X-mas

All they told me was "wear and tear" and they've seen it happen before. And yes, very grateful that the customer and her vehicle were not hurt. The brush came down at the front tip of her vehicle and she was able to back out of the wash.

    A Busted Profile for X-mas

Usually, we anticipate a profitable weekend for all of the holidays. It won't be happening this year for Cheetah. Late Wed. around 5:00p.m., the top brush came crashing down, barely missing the front end of a customer's car. If anything good can be said about any of this, the customer was...

    Zips carwash(tunnel / express)

A couple of weeks ago, I got a call from a "Mister" rep in Austin who told me they were going to be in "my area" and would like to meet with me about discussing possibly buying Cheetah. Told them I wasn't interested at this time. From what I've read in the publications, they're buying up...

    Washworld Razor Grease

I can't speak for anyone else, but we are a chems customer and also have a maintenance agreement with our WW distributor. They do a monthly PM (Preventative Maintenance) on our site; and I have instructed them to take a pro-active approach to our equipment maintenance -- changing out hoses...

    Washworld Razor Grease

This info has been quite helpful, since we plan to put in a Razor next year using the same distributor as WaterGuy. I will now specifically ask that they use this grease; although it doesn't get as cold for as long here in South Texas, we still have our occaisional cold-spells and I don't want...
