    LED - Again

Seems like a winner but my lights are wired at 277V so I don't think these will work since specs say $110V

    Mirrors..fold or no fold?

You would miss about 10 feet of coverage on each side. Unless you have another piece of equipment to cover this like high side wheels that's a lot to miss.

Repeat offenders and the Kia Optima

The only way to know is to let the car go thru with at least on good DS Rime and walk along side. If no issues refuse pmt.

    LED - Again

I'll have to check and see how these tombstones are installed in the 2 different types of fixtures I have. I don't recall. Some seem to slip into slots and some have nuts and bolts, and they I will check to see what replacement is available.

    LED - Again

Anyone use these? http://www.tsscws.com/index.php/lighting-fixtures/led-waterproof-tubelight-conduit-wired.html seems like a reasonable price alternative to my dual 4 ft HO florescent. Does not seem like they are made to be wired from the back and I would hve to make a hole without...

    Flapan Conveyor repairs

Sent you a PM with contact for Someone who knows the Flapan Conveyors inside and out. Flapans had lots of components and were a workhorse. AVW is simpler design. East to work on. Time will tell how they hold up. Last one I got was the model with the thicker components. Order Steel hinge...

    Flapan Conveyor repairs

Have a guy, He's pretty busy with installs now. But I will tell you I replaced my last of 3 Flapan conveyors this year. The rot had gotten so bad it was costing Thousands a couple of times a year to rebuild. I now have 4 AVW conveyors. I would expect the rot and deterioration on a 20 year...

    HydraFlex chemical injectors.

I have heard this before and it may be an issue in some places. For the most part a pressure drop results in less volume thru the venturi and proportionally less chemical draw. Has not been an issue. Also, because like a lot of codes require a seperate "Surge Tank" is used with a separate pump...

Chemical tire applicator using a tape switch

You could use eyes but they seem like a bother. Someone walks thru and it sprays. Have to run wire between them . Typically need a transformer. Must be high emough to clear rail but low enough so body mods don't break the beam.

Chemical tire applicator using a tape switch

30" will definitely do it. Since my floor is kind of rough I put it on top of a steel plate. Also a plate on either side so the car rides on an off smoothly.

    Impact of New Competitor

A pie is finite. Competitors with the same or similar business model cut the pie up into smaller pieces. Some business models ,may pull demand from a different segment.. I.e. a low price EE may pull from the DIY market and may increase wash frequency. But additional low price EEs in the...

Cloth for Side Washers and Wrap Around Brushes

I use the same dilution for the cloth and filament. Dilution is a tricky thing because you need to note what "Normal" dilution is for that product. I use KR Low PH which has a recommended dilution of 600/1 which is what I use in the foamers and pre soak. My tunnel set ups vary but at 3 the...

    Source for HD Camera Cables

Yep, Guess I should have spent a chunk of $ on the 40 or so cameras that didn't need new cable. 32 cameras still to go to see how old cabling works or what if any needs replacement.

    Handi-Clam Pit Tool

From about 50 years ago (Probably longer but that is as far back as I can recall) to about 25 years ago that is all we used. Then we went to the pitsuckers.

Cloth for Side Washers and Wrap Around Brushes

IMO if there was enough lube for cloth there will be enough for filament. Having said that all my contact equip has an application of solution with soap applied before it contacts the car. The concentration is a fraction of what is in the foamers so there is no rinsing issue. Being anal...

Best Way To Clean Mitter Cloth

I have had situations where I cut the top of a 55 Gallon Drum, removed the cloth and let it soak a few hours in a mix of Dawn and / or tunnel cleaner and then thru it in the washer with more of the same.
