I move them by hand on the edge. Took some practice but it's pretty effortless. You could also try some 2' sections of 2" or 3" PVC to roll the drum on?

I think you're way under on your plumbing and electrical estimates, but trade costs vary by region. When I did my dual Petit install, electrical was $12K and plumbing was $5K. My EE upgrade just my dryers was damn near $15K and that didn't include a $5K breaker.

If you want to re do it on a budget I'd buy a nice used Wash Select II and a new Ryko SoftGloss or Radius. I wouldn't mess around with a used machine.
