    Star safe heads

The tab is what I had the welding shop put on. I think having the outer circle of steel or even a shroud around the Hockey puck lock makes it look more intimidating. If they are recessed I don't think it's as worthwhile, but mine protrude from the wall a little making brute force an option.

Coleman Fresh N Vac Blows 24 V Transformer.

Same issue with another Vac Starts. Call in tech from Coleman distributer. His diagnosis is wires / conduit issue underground causing ground to be energized. Call in to electrician now to confirm and trouble shoot area of problem and correct. Apparently severe cold this winter has lead to...

    Bill validators in vacs...worth it???

When I got my last Coleman's the validator and security upgrade was about $1000.00 I struggled with the decision. I would never - ever -buy a combo again without bill acceptors unless there was a big concern about vandalism. Added benefit of course is if a coin jams the bills still work...

    Star safe heads

FWIW, to cut down on mischief I had a square piece of steel welded to the head to accomodate a hockey puck lock over the pug lock and a circle of steel that encircles the hockey puck lock with about 1/16 inch of clearance. This stops people from jamming stuff in the plug lock and would slow...

    JE Adams motors going out

Pre mature failure issues and possible solutions: 1. Filter Bag issues. Holes let debris pass thru. BAd Bag or seal at Bag. May not notice if secondary screen is directly below motor opening. If screen is clogged air flow is impeded and motors overheat. 2. People often have perfect flush...

Credit card???? To add or not to add.

If you don't have bill acceptors you should consider them . 1. If you only pull quarters from the bays you will luv pulling paper $. 2. You casn get paper tokens made for the acceptors which you can sell in Bulk, use for charities etc.

metering valve, though out equipment room

I don't use that product. My typical procedure is to start with the reccomended dilution and go to lower concentrate if the show is still good or higher if it needs to be better. Efficacy is usualy in lock step with the show.

Credit card???? To add or not to add.

IMO if the vacs work well there is no reason to charge less than the competition for vacs. The 25 cent lower price will not be a big draw.

Credit card???? To add or not to add.

Is "2 Gross" $2000.00 You can get cryptopay for around $350 for the central unit plus $365 per bay. You also need internet which is hopefuly available and will cost you about $70.00 per month. You can do one bay and see how that works. (I started with half my bays and after a year did the...

    Flo jet pumps randomly pumping

Make sure the coil does not get energized when it is off the stem. Once you remove the coil the stem typicaly unscrews. Be careful not to lose the plunger and spring when you unscrew it. HAve a spare handy just in case.

metering valve, though out equipment room

Could you just dilute the solution in the mixing tanks more (With existing Hydrominders / dosatrons/ metering pumps or whatever) and not use mixing valves?

NAPA Auto Parts Negative Car Wash Ad

Mudslinging or competition- How about neither. Just marketing idiocy when one of your marketing actions slams anothher one of the businesses your marketing promotes. Granted it is /was idiocy for most negative advertising i.e. when the cloth people slammed the filament, and the lambs cloth /...

    Drying chamber

FWIW where I have a shorter Tunnel I hung a curtain (well 2 each half the width of the tunnel with a slight overlap) a couple of feet in front of the intakes whioch face the rinse area. Intakes could face the oter way but in the winter their might be an issue of drawing in really cold air...

metering valve, though out equipment room

Just a thought. I have eliminated or stopped using the metering valves. I adjust flow rate by pressure to the flo jet pump.

Does anyone build a Rear / Equipment Room Access Meter Box ?

I would think most any place that sells boxes could make you one from the existing box. You would just mount it backwrd and have them make holes in the back like they would on the front plate.

Should I give more tokens for $5, $10, $20 in change machine

Earlier I posted that I do not use tokens. Then recalled I do sell the coinco paper tokens at a discount in volume. I only sell $24.00 for $20.00. My tunnel cashier handles the sales. It's advertised in each bay and on a seperate sign. Not a big Seller.

Should I give more tokens for $5, $10, $20 in change machine

I don't Sell tokens and don't plan to. Have watched all discussions with great interest. One comment about Tokens is always the "Walk Off Value" I would think encouraging larger sales by offering a 10% discount ( i.e. 22 for $20) would increae walk off potential to a point where the walk of...
