    Cryptopay “end charge button” bypass

I was having decals made by STAGraphics, but the last time I ordered they said they will no longer do the matte Lexan finish, only the gloss Lexan. None of the people I've been getting decals for want the slick, glossy ones. Someone posted the replacement buttons for the swipers here.

    How are you all doing?

First problem with that comment is that you can't contract an animal-borne virus by eating its flesh. Second is whether it's even true or just conjecture.

    SS Soap and Wax plumbing

It can be tee'd in anywhere to the pump inlet. I try to keep it close to the pump, unlike some systems like Coleman who tee it in at the bottom of the tank with a 3/4" hose going to the pump which increases changeover time.

    SS Soap and Wax plumbing

You may need to restrict the flow of water by partially closing the ball valve from the tank to force them to draw soap and wax.

    How are you all doing?

Car wash business is fine. Stores are out of all sorts of things like canned goods, dry goods, frozen foods, bread, milk, fresh produce, chicken, pork, ground beed (lots of expensive steaks left), sausage products, even the mayonnaise was wiped out. Stopped at Sam's Club mid-afternoon and they...

    Trash Cans

Yeah, I watched someone today, instead of picking up the bigger bits of trash before vacuuming like a normal person he was clogging up the vac claw, then he'd turn around to pull it out of the claw to drop it on the ground a foot from the trash can.

    Pepsi/Coke Vending Machines

Same issue I had, the only advantage is they will repair or replace the machine at no cost to you even if it's vandalized, though they usually did a crappy job. I actually had to learn the name of one guy and insist they did not send him since he'd barely get it half-ass working where I'd have...

    Cameras and security systems

I don't know the lens type it had, but I used a Sony camera with a manually adjustable zoom lens and only needed it zoomed in about 75% from 100' away to get plates. It was just a standard camera in a weatherproof housing.

    Cryptopay “end charge button” bypass

In my experience they don't need retraining. They want to swipe just once and wash as long as they like, and you want them to because they won't let time run out and dry-brush or bucket wash. The only upside I see with count-down is that it will work with any timer, so your installation costs...

    Pepsi/Coke Vending Machines

I've done it both ways, definitely made more with a machine supplied by Coca-Cola that I filled. I don't think I ever got a check when they serviced it, and half the products would be sold out before they'd refill it. I know you don't want to mess with it yourself, but if you're considering it...

    Cryptopay “end charge button” bypass

I've had people come to me saying they pressed "STOP" and the CC kept counting up. They were pressing "STOP" on the decal for the rotary switch. The flashing red button was clearly labeled and next to the instructions saying to press the flashing red button to end charges. I agree that...

    Cryptopay “end charge button” bypass

I've done it with a Hamilton D.A.N. system by using a programmable relay, but it was with a rotary switch. The relay had each output from the switch going in and would wait for a point when no output from the switch was sent, where after 3 seconds it would close the "STOP" button circuit. It...

    Typical yearly IBA throughput

It's possible with one IBA, but at six minutes per wash on average it will have to be washing cars 20 hours a day, every day. You'll never achieve that.

    Quick disconnect on bay pump

I used to have them on each bay, but not just for connecting the washdown hose, I'd also use them to quickly change a broken bay hose and I'd keep a couple assemblies ready. Now I have them just on bays 2 and 5. I mounted a hose reel on an old hand truck with 100' of hose on it, which I only...

    Quick disconnect on bay pump

I've done it for years. I put the disconnect under the swivel at the boom, which I can pull down to swap out for the washdown hose without a ladder.

Adding a drive through wheel chemical applicator

I never got around to putting anything together, but I had planned to put together an applicator by using something like driveway signal switches and hose connected to a PLC and multiple pulsed sprayers, that way as someone pulled in they'd get exactly the same dose of cleaner on the wheels no...
