Sharing an idea: Hot Wax & Mirror Rinsing

I agree whole heartedly that when the customer is in the car a lot of the fancy arch stuff effect gets lost. A Tunnel sign / light bar next to the driver window is more effective. Just visited a place and tried his wash. I was under the bubblizer so fast i couldn't see much.

    glycol preheat of water

If I read your OP correctly you would now be using energy to heat the floor heat glycol to heat the incoming cold water . This is energy you would not otherwise use. Lets say the ultimate goal is to raise the hot water temp 50 degrees over the incoming temp. Now you raise it directly witht the...

    KR foam brush assembly

FWIW a few years ago an operator told me he used HP hose for FB. Seems the lighter FB hose can crimp stopping the weep and causing freezing, so that's what I use. Not much more expensive than the FB assembly.

    glycol preheat of water

I think you will be wasting energy. The most efficient liquid for transferring heat is water. The reasons plain water is not used in radiators and floor heat is due to the freeze potential, boiling point and corrosive issues. So, instead of heating water directly which is the most efficient...

    Credit Card Fees

With the exception of car rentals, the cash option still seems to be available for purchases. No one forces anyone to use a credit card. No one forces merchants to accept credit cards. We were a relatively late adopter for pay at the pump. Around 2002 or so. The margins and fees are brutal...

    Credit Card Fees

I sell gasoline. We have well over 100 customers a day who pay at te pump. This issue is not significant. A couple of times a year a newbie doesn't understand that if they choose a fillup there is a hold on the card for a day for the max auth. The costlier issue is chargebacks for a pay at...

    Credit Card Fees

Beg to differ. No specificaly indentifieable consumer class costs you extra in the way of a specific insurance or license surcharge. I submit that if it is built into the overall price charged to everyone it is the cash customer who is being ripped of. The cash customer should not have to...

    Credit Card Fees

If the world were fair, there would be a mandatory pass thru of CC Fees to CC users. The higher cost customer shou,d pay the higher cost. Sadly, as far as I know, when I was born the Dr. didn't slap my butt and tell me life would be fair.

    Credit Card Fees

Not sure if I get your point, but if I do, here is the answer. Whatever $ you take in is "Income" irrespective if it is a credit card fee or something else. Then you show the "Expense" of what you actualy pay to the credit card companies. It's just an expense like you would show forbuying...

    Foam brush plumbing...Attn: 2Biz

Guessing 3rd bay away? In some of my Tunnels I have used 1/2" hose to carry foam from the mixing station where the lines merge to the Tunnel. I would guess max 25' from the station to the arch. For the bays where I have one as 6th from the equipment room, i think it might take too long...
