What to do when depreciation runs out.

Having different enterprises under one entity presents a liability cross contamination risk. Usualy not a good idea.

    Equipment layout - opinions

Curious. My 2 year old Sonny's Spyder unit has an aluminum frame for the Mitter, but the Horizontal Arm for the wrap from the frame to the brush is stainless, not aluminum. IMNSHO the mitters pose lots less problems (Roof Rack Issues, Taxi Top lites and roof top ad issues. Pick up truck...

    For those CFL converts…

NG. Site says "ambient environments up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit; 200 Watt HighMax for open fixtures only" I can see the ceiling of the tunnel going way over 100 degrees on a summer day and the fixture can't be open. Thanks anyway.

What to do when depreciation runs out.

Last I checked the section 179 Dep was $500K (http://www.fdcpa.com/Tax/0712taxnews-irc-section-179-deductions-schedule.htm) Special rules apply to many things including veicles. Recapture of Depreciation is taxed at ordinary income rate. For instalment sales you should only have to pay tax...

FWIW I have an older AVW Van high side brush. It's about 7 feet high. Put filament on bottm 18" . Luv it. Seems a lot less complicated than the contour. If I wanted something like that again I'd ask AVW to make it rather than the contour.

Essential services in semi-rural 3-bay SS

Point taken but my EE $3.50-$3.75 base and although the SS is a base of $2.00 I would think the SS average CC Purchase would be higher than the $2.00 base. The EE average is not a lot higher than the $3.50 -$3.75 base. So lets just say the swipe fee is .10. (The overall transaction percent...

Essential services in semi-rural 3-bay SS

FWIW, I use first Data to run CC at my EE and SS bays. I can't break out costs seperately without a lot of work and don't think cost would vary much from the SS to the EE. The CC charges (Not counting cost of internet whcih the EE shares as well) the CC Charges have been rubnning just under...

What to do when depreciation runs out.

??? Paying taxes on equity building? As you amortize the loan you have less of an interest expense write off, but you don't pay taxes on building equity. OK here is what some people do. Re Finance. As long as the revenue stream can service the debt you pocket the refi proceeds and do...

What to do when depreciation runs out.

Color me confused. Depreciation writeoffs can only be for what you spent (To an extent. You can't depreciate land or goodwill) So, you are only recouping what you spent up front as a tax savings. Having recouped it all, you now would have to pay tax on the revenue that you could previously...

    3/8" Hose to 1/4" Hose

Just guessing. Perhaps the od tiops were worn and you were getting more volume. The new tips with correct volume did not have sufficient flow to draw soap. Easiest way to check would be to put on a new 2505. Were the tips different mfgr? Perhaps the specs are a little off?

What is the best hand truck or dolly to move around 55 gallon drums.

We still unload 55 gallon drums from tractor trailers by laying the drum on it's side and then let it drop to the ground on tip of 2 Junk car tires. Freaks out some newbie delivery guys . Haven't had a drum break open in 40+ years. - make sure it lands on the tires.

Just put in the Spyder straight arm wraps with teh 901 mitter. Lots of cleaning in 30 feet. Also have a second 901 Mitter lower details and wheel brush. Triple foam polish is mounted to the front of that mitter. Pros of the 901 Mitter - lots of cleaning in 30 feet. Is it better than say...

What do you think about these financials?

Well, I agreed on 1 out of 3. OOOOOOPS. Gues that means I just disagreed again. Anyway, I am a big believer that if you ask 5 people in the industry a question you may get 10 opinions. I think that is a good thing. No one should get or rely on a single opinion unless there is a record of...

What do you think about these financials?

Disagree that "Decent" would be $190,000. I know that some industry mag published averages might lead you to tink this, but in todays environment expecting $190,000 from this operation would mean the location has phenominal potential. Again disagree about RET benchmark. This benchmark will...

    cost to upgrade coinwash

I think Mr. Hoffmam has 5 booms in some (all?) of his bays. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaPni54XzLc You are limited by your imagination. Possibilities include Seperate boom for triple foam Seperate boom for a wheel / tire brush. I think he ran a seperate compressed air line function...
