    How to find Employees

I had someone ride up to me recently and ask for work, he looked homeless but he was very well-spoken, personable, and polite. I probably should have hired him. I know of a few others that have found good helpers the same way.

    Electrostatic Future?

I don't think you'll want to do that. I'm familiar with the electrostatic process from dealing with powdercoating. You need a very fine coating media with an electrostatic charge, and the item to be coated must be grounded. Your customers will be spraying a substantial quantity of liquid with...

    Sewer Jetter

In an emergency I made a jetter nozzle by drilling holes in a brass cap and screwing it onto the end of an old bay hose and using the bay pressure to clean the line. Worked fine and cost nothing.

Vacuum clean out and bag door lock questions

I've run washes where I could padlock them and no one would bother them, and I've run washes where I had to leave them unlocked or they'd destroy the cleanout door to get at the change. It really depends on what your needs are.

    How to find Employees

I had a flip phone until I had to switch to a smart phone, even been thinking about getting the new Motorola Razr but I like not having to charge mine but once a week.

    How to find Employees

That sounds like a good potential resource. The next best thing might be an ad in the newspaper.

    Carolina Pride exhorbitant freight charges

Those guys don't make anywhere near $20 an hour, and the markup on auto parts in stores, especially NAPA, is insane. I can get the same quality part from rockauto.com for about half the price of NAPA, including shipping.

Fuses can be a little con"fusing"...

There's a check valve you can put under each motor so if one fails it still works relatively well. You still need to check the vac function regularly. Coleman equipment uses an indicator that tells when a fuse on a low pressure pump motor is blown. There may be something similar, but it would...

Running hot and cold to SS pumps

No, only if you had individual solenoids for each function and each bay.

    Nuclear verses Solar

All I know is that nuclear fusion and nuclear fission are very different.

6 SS Bay for First Investment

I would agree, except this wash could have a huge potential for increased revenue. Without knowing the area I have no opinion on whether this is a good deal or not.

    FWIW Cashless Concern Shared

Same here, but FWIW I don't do anything that I have to worry about getting in trouble over if I get pulled over. And as far as privacy, you don't have to consent to a search. I see videos on YouTube all the time where the social justice warriors and the Moorish Americans and the sovereign...

Fuses can be a little con"fusing"...

The difference is that the contact is made by a blob of mercury instead of contacts that can arc when they open or close and fuse together or get dirty and heat up/burn out.

Foam brush spitting liquid but not foaming

You might put a cable tie or hose clamp around the hose to make a good seal around the foot valve. In the last year or so I've had a ton of problems with foot valves for some reason, mostly changing a bad one and having the new one not seal in the hose.

Running hot and cold to SS pumps

I generally don't have any issue with soap and wax drawing no matter how the pump is plumbed, unless the water tank is significantly higher than the soap/wax tanks. It looks like you have a swing check valve on the hot water line - I prefer these, which have a captive spring and gasket so you...

    Solenoids

I looked them up on Amazon and found the 1/2" stainless 24V AC with Viton seat. This one is $25 cheaper than the brass DEMA from Kleen-Rite. The biggest issue I see is its maximum inlet pressure is only 100 PSI...

Fuses can be a little con"fusing"...

If one fuse on one wire powers two motors, yes.

Running hot and cold to SS pumps

Everything should come in on the same side of the pump, otherwise you'll get excessive turbulence which will cause cavitation, which will destroy your manifolds. Cat installation manuals require all liquid comes in one port and exits one port, but specifies they be on opposite sides. FWIW...
