    FWIW Cashless Concern Shared

Your posting of this reminds me of a news story from years ago where police set up signs during a holiday weekend along the highway through town that read "DRUG CHECKPOINT AHEAD" which sparked outrage. They had no checkpoint and weren't even pulling random people over, they just set up the sign...

Fuses can be a little con"fusing"...

I've done that in a pinch, replaced the ABC 20 gray ceramic fuse with a standard AGC 20 automotive fuse in a Doyle unit that had the regular inline fuse holders for each motor. The AGC 20 would still blow if the motor failed, but they would occasionally fail without blowing when the fusible...

Fuses can be a little con"fusing"...

I switched to Domel years ago. The brushes last longer than the "value line" KR vac motors they sell now. I change all the brushes every other year and haven't replaced a Domel motor in a decade.

Fuses can be a little con"fusing"...

I don't know what the letters mean, but that is a fast blow fuse which is filled with a sand material to prevent the metal from atomizing and allowing an arc through to electronic components. It's not the right fuse for a vacuum motor. I use MDL10 slow blow fuses for protecting individual and...

    Topaz float valve problems???

Are you certain it's the valve running and overflowing the tank? Your weep can also cause it to overflow.

FLOJET G57 pump with Parker check valve

Since you have two stacks for your tire cleaner you could just replace the air regulator with one like this: https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-17330-norgren-14-composite-regulator.aspx Assuming both the air and liquid are on one check valve together, this regulator will bleed off excess...

4 SS bay, 2 of em keep running...

In its original setup, the pumps for tire cleaner/foam brush only run when they're called for, so if the solenoids on that side are bad you might get tire cleaner out of bay 4 while another bay is running. The air spewing could be normal, since there's a tubing line that keeps air pressure...

FLOJET G57 pump with Parker check valve

Where is the check valve you keep replacing? They're usually in the bay at the boom. Regardless, the new one could be bad or there may be another one letting a small amount of flow back, which will get trapped between the pump and the solenoids which prevents them from opening. Solenoids have...

Spot Free sticking on high pressure

It's either wiring or a mechanical issue with the solenoid. For simplicity sake, put a pilot light on the wiring to the solenoid, then have someone in the bay switch functions watch the pressure and the light as they change from high pressure to spot-free and from spot-free to high pressure...

    Pressure and nozzle size

Yes, he sent that to me and showed where the requirement for the 516 was well over 3 HP. I think it's just an overestimation.

    Free shipping!

They have free shipping offers several times throughout the year, which they'll let you know about if you call. Some require a $1250 minimum order. I usually order enough each time that I get free shipping anyway, I think it's over $2500.

    D&S IQ Self-Serve Equipment

The D&S system's low-pressures actually work well since it both reduces the pump's RPM with a VFD and uses a secondary pressure-reducing regulator and separate tubing to the bay. I was surprised how well it works after working on a CustomKraft wash. It's just the poor design and reliability...

    Pressure and nozzle size

The Arimitsu 313 would be fine with 3 HP motors. For some reason, the 516 calls for 4 HP when running standard bay pressures. I would think you would still be ok with 3 HP motors, since every other pump out there will run on a 3 HP motor at standard bay pressures. If I were to try a 516, I'd...

Spot Free sticking on high pressure

Is the solenoid energizing at the correct settings?

Shut down by the city because of sand in the sewer

Mine has only one central pit, the other bays have a catch basin under a small grate. I have to clean them out once a week, but it's pretty easy. The central pit costs $500 once a year to get cleaned. It's too big for that cover/trap, but I like the idea. How did you make it?

Spot Free sticking on high pressure

That sounds like a solenoid issue. I can see by your photos that you use a DEMA solenoid to reduce the pressure on spot-free. That solenoid should be energized with spot-free selected, but not on high pressure. If the solenoid is energized/not energized when it should be, the valve is...

    Pressure and nozzle size

1200 with a 25055, I'd run a 2506 but the city wants car washes limited to 3 GPM. I'm still slightly over that, but not enough that the inspectors ever care.

Spot Free sticking on high pressure

There should be some sort of controller for the pump, but that gets its signal from the switch. I'd start by trying to get the problem to occur, then either check for voltage from the rotary switch at the spot-free output or disconnect that wire and see if it stops. When this happens, does the...

    12 Position 3 Stack Rotary

Normally you'd only have two stacks, one for the solenoids and one just for the motor. I've used 10-position 2-stack for systems that used a common air solenoid for tire cleaner and presoak, and used the same stack for the motor.
