Car Care World Expo, Las Vegas-May 12-14, Update

Couldn't agree more, rph. The preliminary numbers for registrations do not encourage me very much on the Expo attendance. I, too, can remember when you could get onto the show floor free. I cut down the size of my booth this year because of the economy and past years of lower attendance...

Expo Passes I could only get one extra pass to CCWE in Las Vegas and that one is gone. We used to get more passes as exhibitors, but not any more! Uncle Sam:(

Preventive Maintenance for ShurVend: Erase any Errors

For Sensit II, 2 line display vendors: We get calls now and then from our customers that tell us that the helix will turn about 1/4 turn and then stop without vending the product. When a bill validator or a coin changer has a bill jam or stuck coin, it sends an error notation to the control...

    Customer Review System

JustClean has a good point. Maybe this form should be expanded to include manufacturers and distributors. Also where does one categorize vacuums, combos, vacuum islands, drop shelf vendors, fragrance machines, dryers, etc, and computer controlled vendors? Self Serve equipment? Uncle Sam :)

Compatible with ShurVends Whale, If you do go with the Wickets system, it is already compatible with the ShurVend vending machines you have installed. May work well with your gift cards and other higher dollar vending items. Uncle Sam:)

New Medium Security Line of Vendors Announced

ShurVend announces the addition of four (4) new models of our vendors that have been redesigned to target those washes that are in small market areas or are in markets that do not need the High Security vendors that we normally sell. These vendors are not installed inside the security cage that...

Strong Case for "Sore Thumb" methods

Thanks, Waxman, for adding some validation to my published assertion of the "sore thumb" idea. I have heard of more than one operator being asked by a customer where the vendor is when it is right behind him. The "blinders" that customers seem to wear that don't allow them to see new equipment...

    AMS SlimGem vending machine

Reinventing Ourselves to Meet the Market Well, Kevin, your post got my "gears grinding" to see if we could meet your wants. We did some "out of the box" thinking here at ShurVend about using the SlimGem vendor as a medium security vendor in the car wash environment. We tried out some ideas...

    Not taking Credit Cards.

After you run the signal strength test and report the results, we will know more about the need for a high gain antenna. I have never had to use a high gain one before, but there is always a first! I think Whale of a Wash may need one too on certain wash sites. Uncle Sam :)

    Not taking Credit Cards.

Waxman, I sent you an email earlier today giving you some tests (sent to me by my sales rep for the e-Port) to run on your e-Port so we can find out what is going on. We think you are in an area where the At&T signal is weak and/or intermittent. AT&T is the contractor for the e-Port so we are...

    AMS SlimGem vending machine

A New Look at the AMS SlimGem Kevin, I visited the AMS plant last week and took a hard look at the SlimGem for use at a car wash site. Here is what I think needs to be addressed before it will survive at a car wash site. 1. The window is glass and will have to be covered with polycarbonate...

    Mars Validator

Washregal, There is a dip switch (#3 I think) on the side of the validator where you can set either "High Security" or "High Acceptance". That may solve your problem. The sensors in the validator may be dirty also. Uncle Sam:)

    Not taking Credit Cards.

We called USA Tech's customer service department to get some info on Waxman's e-Port problems and get them fixed. We finally found out that the daily email reports that were to be sent from USA Tech to Waxman had not gotten into the system, but they are now!! I just find it amazing that so...

    AMS SlimGem vending machine

AMS SlimGem @ Car Wash Kevin, The SlimGem is the smallest vendor that AMS makes and was built in response to the demand for a less expensive vendor. The WideGem is the low priced version of the ShurVend 51. All AMS vendors are built for use inside a building in a lunch or break room setting...
