    Pressure setting

Humans often mistake volume for pressure. It’s the fire hose effect. Say the fire apparatus can pump 300 GPM @ 150 PSI. Crack open the fire hose nozzle and a single firefighter can handle the hose. Now, fully open the nozzle and that firefighter will need several buddies to help hold on to the...

The smaller footprint also allows for more crap to be scattered/stacked/stored in the equipment room. :ROFLMAO:

High Pressure to Low Pressure Switchover Time

Some method of freeze protection is needed for cold weather locations. While a blow down/antifreeze system is very effective, some operators choose to simply add another poly weep line to the above bay manifolds. Water weep works but obviously increases wintertime water/sewer expenses. "Three...

High Pressure to Low Pressure Switchover Time

99% of my customers have moved low pressure products to a separate foam gun. Delivery is very quick; the show is great, and usage is significant. No owner has expressed conversion regret. Run product and air lines to above the bay. (I use 1/4" poly for both with no noticeable volume loss)...

    Foam Brush Slow

I've been installing/remodeling foam brush and gun systems like this for years. 1/4" poly tubes from solenoids to the manifold above the boom... 3/8" poly from the manifold to the boom... 1/4" 100-R1 (hi-pressure hose) from the boom to the brush handle. No check valves or foamers required. (I...

Clearing out my storage area yesterday and OMG! Eight file boxes containing every document for my car wash…1993-1998. I mean EVERY document…Incorporation, Loan, Lease, Taxes, Daily Cash Reports, Bank Statements (with deposit slips and checks), Invoices, Packing Slips, Receipts, Balance Sheets...

Cat 310 not making full pressure

In my experience, water in the oil is due to cracked plunger or failed plunger o-ring. High pressure water is forced past the lip of the oil seal and into the crankcase. You have to remove the head to investigate so might as well replace the seals while you're at it.

Cat 310 not making full pressure

Since this by-passes the downstream plumbing, my money goes to HP seals. While you're in there, might as well replace the LP seals, too.

    Water turning on and off

Hummm... Just might be that float switch. Secure it in the UP position to see if that stops the problem.

    Water turning on and off

I just reread your first post...Nevermind the LLCO! Since the pump runs non-stop from the touchscreen, I suspect the treadle switch. (That's the pad where the car's front tire sits.) The treadle switch is connected to one of the green Phoenix relays in the panel. When the car is in place the...

    Water turning on and off

Sorry... LLCO = Low Level Cut Off (Switch) LWCO = Low Water Cut Off (Switch) Same thing...different jargon Been awhile since I've been inside a Rainmaker cabinet, but I believe the LLCO/LWCO is a simple corded float at the bottom of the water tank. The float interrupts 24 VAC to the pump's...

    Water turning on and off

1st Step: By-pass the LLCO If that solves the problem, check for loose connections or splices from the switch to the panel.

Old solenoid replacement ( have questions)

You should always use a Normally Open solenoid with any weep system. In the event of a power outage no water will flow through your Normally Closed solenoid. With a NO solenoid, the Weepmiser turns water ON by turning power OFF to the solenoid.

    GinSan Pre Soak

Less air assist = more soap volume at the gun. So, reduce the air line pressure at least 10psi under the FloJet's pressure.

    Water softener resin

AFW Filters sells Purolite C110E softening resin. It's the best, IMHO. 10% crosslinked resin is especially important for chlorine resistance. They sell on Amazon, too so if you're a Prime member it'll come freight free.

    Auto identification

It's a Southern Pride TurboWash, or a R. Bell & Associates clone. Don R. Havens Hydrospray made a similar unit, too. Hydrospray in Pennsylvania might have repair parts. The Rainmaker tower fits on the TurboWash guide rail system. Kleen-Rite has replacement HydroSpray Rainmaker towers listed on...

    Weep Mizer 2nd output question

Martins, Simply blowing out the hoses will not prevent freeze ups. Injecting anti-freeze or winter formula windshield washer fluid into the lines will displace the residual water that collects in low spots. Using my favorite programmable logic relay, IDEC’s FL1F-H12RCA SmartRelay… This basic...
