    Air logic question

Air Logic features Dema solenoid manifolds with incorporated metering valve. The air manifolds don't have metering valves. It's possible that Bay's 1 & 2 have debris blocking the outlets of the metering valve manifold. Try fully opening the metering screws on the "Product" manifold. If that...

    Spot Free Hookup

I’ve never been comfortable powering RO machines with 120v in the SFR water tank. Additionally, the 100 gal SFR tanks I use are only about 36” high so there’s not enough swing room for the float to open/close the circuit. And, when the tank is filling the waves/sloshing frequently causes the...

    Best concrete fasteners

IF the anchor goes into solid concrete or brick (no voids), I'd suggest these Nail In anchors with appropriate flat washers. Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware sell them, too.

New Display for Laurel 3 Column

My experience is with single column electronic vendors. The new board's display is completely hidden behind the old door. I'd expect the 3-column vendor to have the same issue. No offense Waxman but...that 20-year-old vendor has served you well. Fix it right with a new door and decal. You're...

    Foam Brush Hoses

I use blue 1/4" high pressure hose with 3/8” crimp on ends. Install a 3/8” brass Street Elbow on the handle inlet and add your favorite 3/8” swivel on each end of the hose. They’ll last many years.

    PreSoak streaking

Coach, 4WD Hi is the only high pH touchless IBA presoak I offer. Greg Pack's experience and advice is dead on...no need for me to repeat.

    PreSoak streaking

I’ve had good success with Quest 4WD Hi – single step Pre-soak. Titration at 20-25 drops? Air-assisted application? Streaking could be due to excessive Pre-soak volume and low air pressure. 4WD Hi works best with warm soft water.

How Many Quarters Is Too Many?

Nearly all of my customers dispense $1 coins from their changers. With MicroCoin acceptors in every device, they also accept customer's quarters. I converted to $1 coins in 1999...with $3.00 to start the bays. That didn't stop the customer's quarters from pouring in. Instead of regularly...

All of our installations are quietly awaiting this weekend's forecasted 20ish degrees. Our pre-season freeze protection and floor heat system tests were completed last month.

    Nayax and LED6 constant count-up

Puzzling...All of my Nayax VPOS installations use the car wash’s 24 vAC tranformers. No smoke! To have VPOS to serve as the Bay or Vacuum’s timer (providing steady 24 vAC output to the load) one can utilize a HiLetgo 5V One Channel Relay Module (or similar) from Amazon. Position the relay...

First Winter - Antifreeze vs. Weep

You can use winter formula to protect your brushes. For triple foam guns to work properly in freezing conditions consider this: Water weep will dilute the product. When the Weepmizer turns on the water the tri-foam product will be diluted and quality delivery to the active gun will be...

It’s time to start thinking about Freeze Protection

It’s time to start thinking about Freeze Protection

2Biz, Thanks for the acknowledgement. It’s astonishing how long it’s been since we worked on your system. My current version takes advantage of Sieman’s/IDEC advancements in the SmartRelay platform…specifically it’s networking capability. Several SR can now be networked to provide expanded I/O...

Pulsation sound in attic - Soap/Wax Functions

Pulsation and pressure fluctuations are typically caused by air leaks in the pump's supply plumbing. Since this issue exists when only when soap/wax/presoak are selected I would suspect a loose fitting, or a cracked product hose.

    Rowe BC1400 - Counter discrepancy

Rowe’s counter is the “Value of the bills accepted…not the number of “Bills Accepted” $1 bills advance the counter 1 number. $5 bills advance the counter 5 numbers, etc. If the counter is providing incorrect information, I would consider replacing the counter.

    Looking for concrete/floor heat information

We’ve always spec 4” of 4000+ psi concrete on compacted base. We install 1/2” O2 barrier PEX over 3” foam insulation (Crete-Heat). The contractor must lower the finished grade to accommodate the new finished floor elevation. Side note: Concrete must have been really cheap in the late 70’s...
