    Chemical choices for IBA

I have used all Chemquest products with my Razor for 10 years and have no complaints. The alkaline presoak is called Select 35 and it is fantastic.

    Razor part

Yeah this doesn't have me shut down. But makes me worry about "back ordered" parts that might.

    Razor part

Does anyone have a extra carriage drive gear for a Razor? It's backordered at Wash World and they have no idea when they'll have any. Part # is 8950

    Washworld Razor HP hose

They normally fail at the fittings if they are swivels. I’d get hoses with fixed ends and buy stainless swivels from kleen rite.

    Washworld Razor HP hose

I've thought about that as well. The wrap costs dang much as the hose. And it makes it harder to get the hose in and out of the e-chain!. But I do think it helps protect the hose. Especially on my Razor 1 that has the old style e-chain.

    Washworld Razor HP hose

I would suggest getting a spare of each of your hoses made. You'll need them at some point. Get them made with fixed ends and then order stainless swivel ends from Kleen Rite. They aren't cheap but will last forever. You'll only need one swivel end for most of your hoses. I've had my Razor...

    Washworld Razor HP hose

That's a roll of the hose wrap only. You really only need it for your e-chain hose and the trolley hose. It protects the hose from rubbing. As for the "spare parts kit", I'm not sure what that is.

    Washworld Razor HP hose

They will all fail over time. My e chain hose normally lasts 6-8 months at a busy wash. Exposure to the elements and the fact that it bends thousands of times make that one more apt to break faster. I have found that getting them built with non swivel ends, then getting stainless swivels will...

    Washworld Razor HP hose

Look for a place that builds hydraulic hoses locally. That hose normally costs me around $150. I keep a spare of every hose my Razor has because they always break at the worst time.

    Strange issue with Washworld Razor

Hopefully that’s it. When you say “software” do you mean an updated memory module? Just curious. I just had to have mind updated recently due to replacing my dryers.

    Strange issue with Washworld Razor

I had to replace all of mine about the same time and it was around 130,000 washes.

    Strange issue with Washworld Razor

My gearboxes all went bad at approximately the same time. I’m thinking it was when the machine was 8-9 years old. Hopefully new software will remedy your issues! The ones like you’re having are the worst. Especially when WW can’t help you out either. So frustrating. Also, I could push my...

See if you can push your carriage either way by hand.

    Strange issue with Washworld Razor

I’d replace the gear box for sure. Fixed my issue that was very similar.

    Strange issue with Washworld Razor

I agree. Sounds like it’s skipping or gear box is worn.

    Strange issue with Washworld Razor

Also, have you checked the position of the “helicopter” flag with the trolley all the way to the passenger side with the arch rotated?

    Strange issue with Washworld Razor

Yeah this is a head scratcher. I was looking at the same thing as APW. Shake your arch north and south and see how much play your trolley has in it. Watch and see if that prox comes on and off when you do it.

    Strange issue with Washworld Razor

if it slams into the end position then it’s not reading your right limit prox. It IS weird that you aren’t getting a fault code. The next time it does it I would 1. See where the prox switch is in relation to the flag and see if it’s lit up 2. See what your Wash Status says (it’s probably...

    Strange issue with Washworld Razor

Do you have to reset your arch when it happens? Mine showed right limit fault.
