Which Self Serve Equipment is the Best ?

A LOT depends on your ownership timeframe. I've had my wash almost 30 years. At the 25 year point, my Cat 623's started needing replacement. (I've still got a couple still running). At my age, I don't need to get 30 years out of a replacement Cat pump....so I went with Arimitsu replacements...

Monorail?? Unknown in bay at our wash

I'd be interested in the trolley and the center pod.

Monorail?? Unknown in bay at our wash

The East Peoria pictures look like an old Super Wash automatic. Pro Equipment made the automatic machine for them. Simple, reliable design. Very few moving parts. Does NOT size to the car.

    Vacuum timer issues

That is indeed a big mess just to run a vacuum. The way the contactor buzzes like that.....is likely one of two things. 1-A bad coil on the contactor. 2-More likely, low voltage to the contactor. It's hard to see from the video, but does your transformer have (what appears) to be an 18v...

    Foam Brush Hose replacement

Slightly off topic but, Kimberly, I see you have the same booms that I do. I don't know the manufacturer. I need to replace several "round bumpers" on the end of the boom. Do you know the item, and where to source?

    Foam Brush Hose replacement

I'm getting ready to replace all of my foam brush hoses. I always used a 3/8 low pressure hose, however, I see "coil type" hoses available for the Foam Brush. They are more expensive. Are they any better? What size?

    Roof Trough for bay hoses

When I replaced my trough several years ago, I followed the advice of someone on this forum. Make your trough "L" shaped instead of "U" shaped. One side of the "L" stays affixed to the roof, the other "L" is the lid. The two "L's" join to make a box. Man, what a difference. When you need to...

    weep mizer problem

I'm not sure it was stated correctly..... The weep water should be connected, using a Normally OPEN solenoid. This is so that a power failure will fail to a protected state. If the weepmizer is connected correctly to the N.O. solenoid, the solenoid is OFF when the light is ON, and vice versa...

    Used Pay Station Canopy

My Hamilton ACW 4's have been in the sun/rain for 30 years and still run great. I'm not sure why you think you need to "protect" your pay stations. I wouldn't worry about shielding the rain for the customers. I don't know about your place, but when it rains....I don't have many.......

    Vacuum dome lights not working

After 30 years in the business......I don't see a nickels worth of difference between having those dome lights work or not. I quit fixing them years ago. My lot is well lit (and clean).....and that's what really matters......

    Vending Machines

I'm not sure about your demographics. You aren't going to get rich selling snacks and cold drinks at a car wash (in my opinion). I have an old AMS 39 vendor (Old Shurvend system, which isn't around anymore). The ONLY reason I have the vendor.....is to vend discounted Hamilton Tokenotes while...
